We stayed there on 11th September and were very impressed with the Hotel. They are handling Covid-19 exceptionally well, with hand sanitisers everywhere and one way systems in place. The Ocean View is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The location is fantastic for Shanklin Beach, with a walk down the steps directly behind the Hotel straight down to the Beach. Quite a hike back up if you're not that fit but there is a lift which would normally be open, but sadly due to Covid it has had to remain closed. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, we did not try the pool, however it looked large and a great facility. It feels like a really nice hotel, and while it's 1970's history is very visible, this added to the charm of the place

One of our best sellers in Shanklin! Located in Shanklin, on the Isle of Wight, Ocean View is set on the south-east coast of the island. There is free Wi-Fi in public areas, including the bar and restaurant.
Many of the rooms at Ocean View boast balconies with extensive sea views. Every room offers an private bathroom, a TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
Ocean View features a piano lounge and a large restaurant. There are a collection of shops housed in traditional thatched cottages just 10 minutes’ walk from the property, along with the start of a scenic coastal cliff walk.
Shanklin Train Station is half a mile away, Amazon World Zoo Park is just over 3 miles away and Carisbrooke Castle less than a 25-minute drive away. Afton Park offers a range of outdoor adventure activities including kayaking and archery and can be reached in 40 minutes by car.
