Gravesend has deteriorated over the years. It is not worth visiting. The restaurants are few and far. I can recommend a superb local pub named the Compass: great beer and great company. Gravesend is not worth visiting (unfortunately). The last time I was there wad 1982 and it was a thriving market town but now …

Gravesend is a typical declining British town.
Gravesend is a typical declining British town. The high Street is poor, there are 2 shopping centres that you can go round in literally 5 minutes. If it wasn't for the fact that we have family connections there, we wouldn't bother with the place.

Very nice small town with a beautiful promanade next to the river. Nice view on the river with the green area and benches that you can sit on them and relax. For short visit/weekend it's absloutely fine. For longer can be boring.

I liked the walk to the town the buses on time when you want to catch one. As it was nice day we walked.
The town has plenty of life in it. Lots of shops. Asda.Mc Donald's and other shops to brows in.

A great location, the reception lady was good, the lunch option was poor, and the area was cold but the lady on reception brought a heater which was very good.
Have evening meal but there was a lady with a dog that continuously barking . We left and went to our room. Tv could be bigger very small.
Location brilliant, big bedrooms but bed was small, the layout of the hotel was good. We loved the lake areas. Toilets were clean but all decor was dated. Entertainment was great on the Saturday. Nice dinner dance some of the food was excellent .
All my family came too so a great weekend we went to ROCHESTER FOR THE CHRSITMAS MARKET . Fabulous market and we all had great time. The Arrow pub was excellent for meals .
Good value for money, closer to a 4 star hotel than a 3 star hotel. Having stayed in a different hotel every day over the last week, one of the biggest issues I've found is finding a quiet room. During my entire stay, I don't think I heard a single noise outside my room, making it very easy to relax. Staff were proactive and made sure not to keep you waiting. Free off-road parking.
The location was just outside the town centre so was quiet. Gravesend being a small place everything was with a few minutes walk. The room was of a good size, comfortable and maintened to a high standard with a large screen TV. The bar was fairly small but comfortable and service was always good.
This looks like a very new conversion. Certainly very smart. The beds were comfy. It was very clean and tidy with all the facilities for a self catering stay. Walking distance from town. The shower had decent pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice sized lounge area.
Phantastic place for visiting Kent. Debbie is a brilliant host and very funny. Thanks for everything, especially all the little extras. Hopewell felt like home and is definitely worth a visit. I enjoyed my stay very much.
great location, and our room had our own patio! always stay in this hotel when we are visiting gravesend. Breakfast was lovely, room was comfy and clean, can’t fault this place at all
Staff very friendly in the hotel and pub/restaurant. The bar staff reserved a large table for our group of 12 so that we could sit together and swap memories and war stories.
Great place to stay we were visiting brands hatch
Bar area and dinning room so clean rooms very nice plenty of room staff were very friendly definitely recommend this hotel
The staff who were professional and courteous.
Free car parking.
In Gravesend town centre.
VAT invoice easily available at check in.
Room was clean and well decorated.
A very basic Hotel. Located just off the A2 near Ebbsfleet station, the room was spacious and quiet. Unsure why the bathroom was so small in comparison to the room.
Perfectly placed for quick access to railway station, which is why we booked there - certainly not for scenery in central Gravesend! Well equipped and comfortable.
