Welcome to The Old Schoolhouse. Built in 1857 our property has been fully modernised into a warm and welcoming home but still retains the character and some of the original features of the schoolhouse. Our property has 4 bedrooms which are fully heated giving them a warm and welcoming feeling. On our guest's side of the house, which we jokingly refer to as the west wing, there is one luxury double bedroom with its own private shower room. The bedroom itself has an extremely comfortable double bed to aid a good nights sleep, tv, tea making facilities, wardrobe, hairdryer and we think its fair to say the room has a real touch of elegance and class. From the end of january 2016 our guests are now able to enjoy a refurbished private sitting area complete with 32 inch HD flat screen television, digital radio, sofa and a pine computer desk. The room is ideal for any guests who need to work on business or just relax with a book or pop the tv on. The shower room is fully equipped with a power shower which will leave you feeling refreshed and you will find all the usual toiletries available.Our guests will have a private courtyard to sit out in to enjoy the sunshine (hopefully).

We are Cathy & Kevin,We have 3 children between us and 2 and a half grandchildren so far ( 1 due in January.) We enjoy walking in the country, gardening, reading and we've enjoyed running our bed and breakfast since August 2015. Our aim is to provide the best possible value for money for the business traveler and for guests taking a short break. We are a warm and welcoming friendly couple whose aim is to welcome our guests as strangers and when they leave they leave as our friends. We look forward to welcoming you to the Old School House.

We live in a quiet village free from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. If its peace and tranquility your looking for then you'll find it here at the Schoolhouse. If you're here at 9am on a Snday morning all you'll normally hear are the church bells ringing you into the day, a very pleasant sound if I may say so. The local amenities are about half a mile away in the next village and we can recommend a few local pubs and restaurants if required. We love living in our village and we hope our guests enjoy the experience just as much. We are close to the Lincolnshire wolds if you enjoy walking and of course we are in close proximity to numerous air bases. Scampton is where the Red Arrows practice on a regular basis. The historic city of Lincoln is 30 minutes away where the cathedral is spectacular and well worth a look round. It's well worth checking out the Lincolnshire wolds website for many ways to spend time in our area. There is the off road racing track at Blyton approx 4 miles away and Cadwell Park race track approx 10 miles. Hemswell Antique Centre is right on our door step ( one of the largest in the country).
