We are a small local holiday let company that has lived in the area for over twenty years. We love where we live and we can be found, cycling, running or walking along the lovely beaches that dot our coast, enjoying the quiet lanes on our bicycles or running on the trails. We love supporting local events and can share our local secrets if looking for something different, to enjoying local one day courses with local artists, birdwatching trips at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, or wine tasting at one of the many vineyards that are located in the 1066 area. Our aim is to offer a truly personal service to make your stay at one of our holiday cottages as relaxing as we possibly can. Any queries or issues you may have during your stay, we are here to help. Special occasion, need help planning your surprise, we know the best florists, bakers and restaurants to book, just ask. Jacqui has worked in the hospitality sector for over twenty years and she can't wait to welcome you to the cottages and apartments that we manage.

Property info

Old Town Bolthole is the perfect romantic retreat in Hastings Old Town, East Sussex. Dating back to the 1400's it has bags of character, with exposed beams, quirky staircase and wood burner, it truly is a bolthole for that weekend getaway. Due to the age of the building, anyone over 6ft would struggle with the ceiling height. Must be able to climb stairs, as you would expect the stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom are narrow and steep. The kitchen has a combination/microwave oven and a two ring electric hob. Although the cottage doesn't have a washing machine, there is a launderette only 5 minutes walk open from 6.30am - 8pm every day. A central location makes it a great base for exploring Hastings with everything on your doorstep. An easy stroll to the sea and Hastings Country Park. Planning to eat out you will be spoilt for choice, great cafes and pubs only minutes away. There is meter street parking outside the cottage and two council car parks close by where you can purchase daily or weekly tickets.

In the heart of the Old Town, you have pubs, cafes, bakery, deli everything you could possible need on your doorstep. Only a short stroll form the sea front and the fresh fish stalls, Hastings Country Park and selection of independent retailers. The Railway station is only 2 miles from the cottage. Hastings has a vibrant, full calendar of events happening all year round, so chances are something will be going on during a stay.
