St Albans is a very friendly town with people opening doors and being kind and considerate.
We ate in whetherspoons in their Tudor barns and they also had an outdoor area to eat and drink if no rain! The pricing of everything we ate and drank was of good value and was very clean.
There was lots of places we wanted to visit but most of our holiday it rained! But we did visit the shops which are all different and have different price ranges and styles.

I was there for work so didn't really have a chance to look around the place. I managed a visit to the cathedral which is a marvellous hulk of a mediaeval building and still an active place of worship. Wel worth a visit.

A classic english town with traditional houses, historical places and a small but well-cared city centre. St.Albans has a wonderful gothic cathedral, the calm and nature of the wide city park and the oldest pub in the UK is there. Services and shops make the city a nice place to live and to visit.
Fantastic stay from start to finish; staff were welcoming and professional. The whole place felt well maintained and comfortable.
The spa area was excellent and not too crowded. We didn’t book any treatments though. The gym was better than you would find in most hotels.
Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, including vegan and gluten free options.
Don't be deceived by the rather tatty apearance of the front door and hallways, the appartment itself is very good, very comfortable and right in the heart of St Albans city centre. It's close to all the best restaurants and bars and is a short walk from the Abbey and park. A very comfortable bed. Highly recomended if your on your own or a couple.
The breakfast was delicious. The grounds are also stunning with a beautiful view from the terrace. The spa is also stunning - spacious, clean, luxurious and pretty quiet in the evenings. This is the second time we've stayed at the hotel and would return indeed.
This hotel was located in a great area, close to lots of shops such as New Look, JD, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Boots. The rooms were good sizes and the beds were very comfortable! Room included breakfast which was amazing and had plenty options.
Excellent hotel, pretty and modern. Loved the cosy bar area. Rooms are a decent size and have to be the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Being ocd, I think this was the first time I was delighted with how clean everything was!
Modern, bright apartment. Lovely clean & well maintained. Nicely furnished, good size bathroom with excellent shower. Decent size bath towels. King size comfortable bed.
Car parking space
Walking distance to city centre.
Very good location not too far from the city centre. There was sufficient parking. The room was larger than we expected and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was great and it was nice to have it included in the price.
Old fashioned hotel with the advantage that they did not rush you out in the morning and parking was easy with the added value they allowed a visitor to park. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The free parking so close to the center of St Albans is a plus and it's easy to walk around and explore the local area. The view of the cathedral from the St Alban room was great.
