Lovely location, very welcoming and clean. Breakfasts were very tasty too. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay and the heatwave was a big bonus whilst at the seaside.

Keith and Karen are so welcoming, the rooms are so spacious and the breakfast was excellent. Location to Whitby town was around a 10 mins walk and they have parking on site so that was great for us. Definitely book here again

Location absolutely amazing, just 5 min walk to Whitby. Car parking facilities right outside hotel (not on main road). Bed was absolutely huge! So comfy and cosy. TV, kettle, tea / coffee & biscuits! Towels & toiletries provided. Bathroom was clean, lovely shower, plenty of towels inc bath mats and face flannels. Bedside cabinets, plenty of plug sockets, and 2 mirrors!

Overdale is renowned for its full English breakfast as we do not fry our food (other than a fried egg). so we serve a healthy full English. Overdale has kept all the Victorian period features which our guests fully appreciate.

We like eating out and trying different restaurants in Whitby as we will not recommend anywhere we have not tried ourselves. We also enjoy meeting new guests that arrive at Overdale but we also love to see our regular guests that keep returning time after time.
