Also central to Haddington, with its lovely little shopping street and eating places. Great off road parking. Secure. Lovely homely touches, great welcome pack and easy to follow instructions to access the property. Will definitely visit again. ”

“Can't say enough good things about our stay at Painters Cottage. Even before we arrived, Linda was very helpful and informative. We had one little glitch finding a switch and she answered within ten minutes. The cottage is so lovely we wished we had booked for more than three nights. We were so impressed with everything; lovely welcome gifts, a supply of basics for breakfast tea and coffee, everything you need to have a decent home-cooked dinner, a perfectly peaceful, garden courtyard ... The cottage is located right behind the High Street and there is everything you need for re-supply. Great local bakers - Baynes - and butchers, and there is a Tesco about 10 minutes away. If you're travelling on public transport, there are buses seemingly going everywhere. We will certainly be recommended this cottage to our friends and colleagues back in Thailand and China. Our only regret was that we didn't say these things in the guest book. Thank you, Linda.”
