I have lived in Aber as a student and know some very nice people in the local businesses. There is a good Police presence. They drive around. It is generally a good mixed town for students and Welsh longstanding residents who are generally welcoming of tourists. Lovely indie shops. Cheaper beer and food than SE England and other airport places. A good proportion of overseas residents. Busy builders everywhere and it is looking up. Lots of heritage to see including King Charles' old university which is being renovated.

Generally clean and safe environment (only visited during day time), plenty of character and amenities. One main downside; very poor parking availability, & very limited parking signage. Most roadside parking, when available, limited to only one hour.

Easy to get around ,we were visiting for 40th birthday party at the top of the hill at the consti restaurant and bar. Going up the vehicular railway was a bit different.the view overlooking Aberystwyth was amazing especially at night.the staff were very friendly.we visited a bar on the seafront called Baravin The bar staff were also friendly .we sat and had a drink and looked out over the bay.

November is not a good time to visit as it is too cold to sit on the prom the cliff railway was not working, the amusements on the pier was shut, the narrow gauge railway is shut the town is full of empty shops. I had a caravan in Borth for over 30 years and used to visit Aberystwyth, which is 8 miles away, 2 or 3 times a week and that is why I booked a few days there this November, a nostalgic visit, but I will not be going back.

I lived here in the 1980s, now my eldest daughter is at University here and she loves it as much as I do. I find it a very artistic and beautiful place, but at the same time there is a lot of fun to be had in the pubs and bars.

The room was well ventilated and the staff gave us a fan, without us having to ask, due to the heatwave. In addition to this the view was over the town and had an excellent shot of the Library of Wales. Furthermore we ran into the staff on a night out and were as lovely and friendly as they were at the hotel. Finally the TV had an assortment of streaming services such as Netflix and Disney +, which meant we got to watch shows we otherwise would have been able to see. I will be staying here again when I next come to Aberystwyth.

Lovely view, great big bed slept well but bathroom very small breakfast was ok. Had to pay for extra for breakfast because we booked with booking .com also it was also extra for the spa . Had we booked direct with the hotel everything was included. It has put me off booking with a third party and we payed 50 pounds more by going with booking.com so conclusion book direct with hotel's website but Aberystwyth is not the place it once was. It will be a long time before I visit again.

I stayed twice at this hotel over 2 weekends and love the place and also all the staffs were friendly esp Sarah, Jane, Awn, Elle, Marcus. My room was, on both stays, clean and spacious. Bed was comfy and tv was an internet tv so i was able to watch my favourite K-dramas. The seaview room was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was adequate (would be a plus if Richmond offers selection of halal meat). Will definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms with all you need for a relaxing stay..Fourth occasion that I have stayed here when visiting our Grandson at university.Perfect base with parking on site and close enough to town without being a route March. The hotel always looks well maintained and decorated - proof being the chap who constantly works his way around it in the the manner of " Painting the Forth bridge " Thoroughly reccomend.

The breakfast was a hot buffer which meant you could have as much as you liked. It would have been nice if they'd had a few more items, eg Black Pudding. Also fresh tomatoes instead of tinned. The location of the hotel was central to all facilites in Aberystwyth. Including the railway station which was handy as I travelled there by train. (Happy to report that the trains were on time both coming and going back!)

My third visit to this lovely small hotel. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and love the sea and promenade view. Breakfast in the restaurant is very good, although not included in the price of the room. Room rate seems a bit high but location and ambiance keeps me coming back whenever I am in Aberystwyth!

The rooms are on two different floors and it gives a kind of "family house" feeling. The town is absolutely charming and the accomodation is on a very central place, just few steps from the beach. It is not possible to park in front of the house, but there is a cheap parking lot nearby.

The location and facilities are great. The rooms are immaculate and filled with nicety’s. The “help yourself kitchen” is a bonus. I have spent numerous nights here and because of this hotel, Aberystwyth is at the top of my list of places to visit with my family over the coming months.

Check in was easy even though we didn't meet anyone directly. The location is as described - close to the seafront and High St. We found a nearby restaurant that served top notch salads and had an excellent view of the sea. The room had a fridge - a nice convenience.
