PLEASE NOTE THE PROPERTY IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ELAN VALLEY AND 7.5 MILES FROM RHAYADER WHERE THE NEAREST SHOPS & PLACES TO EAT AND DRINK ARE LOCATED We are a B&B and tearooms nestled in the heart of the beautiful Elan Valley, right next to Pen Y Garreg Dam our five rooms are as follows: Garreg Ddu: pet friendly, easy access with full wet room, suitable for wheelchairs, king and single, ground floor, kettle Claerwen: no pets, shower room, large king, first floor Caban Coch: no pets, shower room, small king, 1st floor Pen y Garreg: no pets, shower room, single, 1st floor Craig Goch: no pets, bathroom, large king, 1st floor Penbont House is off grid and generator powered-as a result there is a shared kettle on the landing on the first floor Please note our tearooms are closed in the evenings, we are able to offer an evening platter-this needs to be preordered by 4pm on the day or you're welcome to bring a takeaway at night, drinks need to be ordered before bar closes at 6pm. The Elan Valley is an International Dark Sky Park (Silver Tier). In 2015, the Elan Valley Estate achieved International Dark Sky Park status and became the first privately owned but publicly accessible park
Fantastic, landscape, beautiful views, peace and quite. We are a rural setting, perfect location for walking and cycling and exploring the Elan Valley. you will need transport to reach us. The Elan Valley; The dams, reservoirs and 73 mile aqueduct of the Elan Valley were built a hundred years ago to supply clean water to Birmingham. It was an epic feat of civil engineering set within an area of outstanding scenic beauty. Today, the dams and reservoirs provide a lasting history and outstanding scenery for all our visitors. This is the perfect base to explore Rhayader and the Elan Valley. The rolling Cambrian Mountains are on the doorstep. The market town of Rhayader is 8 miles away, with independent shops, leisure centre, museum, 3 playparks and a variety of pubs. The Elan Valley Trail, a flat, level route which is wheelchair accessible is only 300 meters from Penbont. Pump Track Wales is a new bike track in Rhayader, free to access Walking, cycling, mountain biking, pony trekking, astronomy, bird watching, fishing are all on our doorstep
