We loved our stay at the Primrose Cottage! Helen and Richard went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provided us with a lovely warm home for our 10 day stay. Nothing better than being welcomed by some homemade scones! The location is tranquil and with the car many beautiful little villages can be visited. We hope to be able to return one day.

Really nice house - quiet location with everything you need for a holiday - really welcoming touch to have scones and clotted cream on arrival.

We have stayed in many holiday homes from tiny little cottages to large coastal properties. This property was right at the top in terms of value for money. The standard of the facilities was extremely high. The welcome pack of scones jam cream and butter as well as milk tea coffee and sugar was very much appreciated. Our dog wasn’t forgotten either as there were some food pouches for him as well. The owners have gone over and above to supply anything you could possibly need for a short or long break in their beautiful cottages. Although due to Covid some of the soft furnishings were taken away, the cottage still felt like a real home from home. We can’t wait to go back! (It was only 20 minutes from our favourite beach at Instow which was a bonus).

Everything from the welcoming cream tea to the cottage having literally everything we could possibly need.

It is situated in a conveniently isolated position yet near to main road .excellent facilities within the cottage ,plus recycling shed (which I was very pleased to find !) Ample parking . The key was easy to find in the key safe and we were greeted by a cream tea ,milk ,tea ,coffee and many basics .Excellent ! Dishwasher ,washing machine ,everything provided again excellent . Beautiful original art on the walls ( for sale ) Sparkly clean bedding and towels and a very comfortable bed ..excellent ! Gallons of hot water ... Spotlessly clean and ample cleaning and sanitising products supplied . Stunning area of Devon Saunton sands is a must as is one of the beautiful long wide Devon beaches with Parking at £1:20 an hour .Putsborough beach is my favourite but the parking astronomical !! The pub on the main road through Georgeham Served the best food and was exceptional! If you have time go to the Eden Project but expect a long walk as the little bus isn’t running at the moment .

Everything beautiful quaint cottage out in the country as that’s exactly what I look for. Helen was so lovely helpful and on hand for anything.

The property is beautiful very spacious and very well equipped. Upon arrival it was cleaned to the highest standard with everything being immaculate. Helen was lovely and we loved the scones - a lovely personal touch. Can’t recommend highly enough staying here we have had a wonderful holiday and we will definitely return!

The location is peaceful but not far from the coast and the sights.

Lovely location, beautiful cottage, excellent hosts. Faultless ,would love to stay again. Would give an 11 out of 10

Welcome to the Petrock Holiday Cottages. Oak Tree and Primrose cottages provide stunning spaces in a converted Devon long barn. We provide the very best of stylish self-catering accommodation for the discerning traveller. We offer a romantic retreat for couples or space for families. De-stress and unwind by staying in either Oak Tree or Primrose. Our cottages are a real alternative to a busy hotel or B&B. Because we are small we can give you the freedom and privacy you want. We are in a rural farming community but very accessible to the north Devon and Cornwall coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor. We are located in Ruby Country, enclosed by the upland expanses of Bodmin, Exmoor and Dartmoor, and to the north by the wild and rugged North Devon and Cornwall coast. For great days out visit Great Torrington to experience Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor gardens or the Tarka trail for walking and cycling for the whole family. Head to the Cornish coast at Bude for the great beach vibe and surfing plus access to the south west coastal path. Visit Appledore near Bideford to stroll the promenade and people watch from its many cafe’s or experience Instow for its family friendly beach making sand castles or playing in the sea and dunes all day long. We are close to Westward Ho! and within easy reach of The Eden Project, Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Issac where Doc Martin was filmed.
