Room was so spotless quality soft furnishings and a super comfy bed, great breakfast and the hosting was brilliant. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in Ayr. Also great location 2 ticks from the beach.

The best shortbread ever!!!!! It is amazing 😙 Every part of Beaches is done to a very high standard. Nothing hasn't been thought of. Fantastic place to stay. Easy to find. Parking right at the door. Handy for the beach, and a nice stroll into town. The garden was a pleasure to use, especially with Harris the dog. Room was small, but perfect. Everything has been thought of, including a fridge.

Jan was easily the best host we've experienced in all the years and the many accommodations previously stayed at. Boris was a driving force but took a back seat. You really must ask Jan to introduce you to him. The room was supplied with everything needed (and normally supplied by top class hotels) with the added benefit of delicious home made shortbread replenished daily. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Decorated room to a very high standard. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and absolutely nothing appeared to be too much trouble. We do not say lightly that this accommodation easily deserves a 10 out of 10.

Beaches is a small family-run guest house featuring a large private garden with gated access to Ayr’s sandy beach. It's set just 5 minutes’ walk from Ayr’s center with its shopping, dining, and nightlife.

With an LCD TV, free WiFi access and garden views, all Beaches rooms also have a private bathroom.

Locally sourced produce from Ayrshire farms is used in the full Scottish breakfasts. Free-range eggs, haggis, square sausage and tattie scones are just some of those on offer. Continental options are also available.

Secure on-site parking is provided for motorcycles. Troon Golf Course is only a 10-minute drive from Beaches. Ayr railway station is just 1 miles away and has services to Glasgow Central station every 30 minutes, while Robert Burns birthplace museum is a 5-minute drive away.

  • I'm looking to find a hotel i stayed in on the 20th Oct 2018. The hostess I believe was of chinease origin. It is very important for me to find her. Unfortunately my memory is very poor. Yours is the closest looking to it but think st time was painted black n white,,??? Please can you help.

    The property was craigholm along the street from me. The lady sold up a year ago and the house is no longer a guesthouse. Regards Jan

  • Me and my wife live in irvine , its our 1st year anniversary. She loves the beach and sea views. Are we aloud to come? Its a very social day for us

  • Is Beaches guest house dog friendly as I have a one year old cocker spaniel?

    I’m afraid we are not dog friendly, we tried allowing dogs in the past but it did not work out. There are a few places near that allow dogs, try the Daviot guesthouse. Kind regards Jan
