A lovely property in a gorgeous quiet location on Sark. We walked from the harbour as we didn't have much luggage. Warm and cosy despite the windy weather outside! Bedroom was nice and a lovely common room and kitchen too. Bright dining area for a self service breakfast with lovely views out over the coast and sea.

It is close to the beach and it has nice overlooking view of the sunset. We were also happy with the puzzles and games in there. Breakfast was decent too. It has a cafe next to it too with amazing chocolates!

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and gifted wine and chocolates which was a lovely surprise. Our room was upgraded to one with a balcony. For breakfast the bread was fresh and home made with every type of preserve. Wonderful nights sleep, excellent for star gazing.

  • Hi, I'm thinking of visiting from guernsey next week. It will be my first time in Sark and I have a few questions, if the boat doesn't sail, is it ok to get a refund? Are there many places open at the moment, restaurants/cafes etc? Will it make a difference if I come mid-week? Thanks, Claire
    Hello Claire Thanks for enquiry. If boat doesn't sail technically we don't offer refunds but we do try where possible to offer credit note for a stay at another time. There a couple of options including Restaurant and pub. Regards Simon.

    Yes your dog will be OK but if you are bringing into Channel Islands from outside the UK there will be customs and Anti Rabies restrictions! Simon Couldridge.

The log cabin which it is commonly known as but the official name is Pourquoi Pas, which means why not! Is a Scandinavia style log cabin all purposely built and shipped to Sark from Estonia.
Having spent several summers and the odd winter working on Sark in the 1970's for a local family working as a tour guide on the horse and carriages. After returning to the mainland for a a few years and marrying an Irish girl, i managed to convince her that we should move to Sark and we have been here ever since. We run our own Chocolate company called Caragh Chocolates where the small shop and factory is right on site so i hope you like chocolate.
Sark is a very peaceful and friendly place to be. A place where all your stresses and cares can be taken away as soon as you step onto the island. We are located towards the Southwest of the Island around a 20min walk or 10min cycle from the village, and the last stop before La Coupée before you cross over to Little Sark. We are also ideally located to one of the best beaches on the island if you don't mind a few steps.
