Breakfast was OK but not quite the standard one would expect. The grounds were exceptional and the hotel so well appointed with decor and atmosphere of a large Manor house. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were very disappointed that the pool was not in use, especially as that was the only reason we selected yhat particular hotel. We would certainly return there at some time in the future but would check about the pool first!

We booked a Junior suite which was large bright and very comfortable. The best part though is the grounds it is set in. They are extremely large and well landscaped, with everything from horses to peacocks. It is extremely peaceful and and a place you can switch off.

    The hotel is still currently open. All services are open although restricted in some areas to observe Covid regulations and guest/staff safety.

  • I understand there is no lift but there are ground floor rooms, can you please clarify if these rooms have standard baths, not with extended tiled ledges or free standing as shown in the pictures as these will be impractical for me. Also is the pool heated, other than by the sun thing on it. ta LB

    Yes we do have ground floor rooms, some have baths and some have walk in showers that might be easier for you. The pool is not heated but can be very nice in the summer months.

    Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 9.30 last orders. Cereal, yogurt, fruit and pastries are available as well as our cooked breakfasts of full English, vegetarian or vegan options. Dietary needs can be catered for on request.

  • Are there any beauty treatments available on site ?

    We can do our Spa Packages, unfortunately, we do not sell these on here. We do not have a spa at the hotel, however if known in advance a therapist can come to the hotel and do in room treatments for two.
