Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was good and the service was fast. Free parking is nice. The bar had sports on TV, which was nice for me. The hot water was quick and the flow was good. Cookies with the tea and coffee in the room was nice.

Every single thing. Upstairs downstairs layout. Very ideal to put our little one to bed and come down and cook and watch tv etc. Decor was stunning. Less is more. Left milk, coffee, teabags and sugar. Also little bottles of water for days out. Little things make a big difference.
Situated 19 km from Middlesbrough Cathedral, The Old Moat Barn - With Private Hot Tub features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The attitude and lack of concern for a hotel guest from the restaurant manger by informing me at the last minute no meals available even though a table was booked and accepted also the restaurant did not close till 21:30 and a table was booked for 20:30 and was the only time i was able to book. Booked at around 19:15 and enquired about evening meals when I arrived at 17:00. Told i could use the restaurant at 20:30. Th restaurant manager should not be working in the hospitality industry as he has a total lack of customer skills. I found him unhelpful arrogant and ignorant.. This totally ruined and otherwise pleasant stay as the receptionist and bar staff were very friendly and helpful.

We went to visit family who we've not seen for a time so were focused on that but there is so much beauty in the area, so many places to visit that we didn't get to.
Need to go again with a plan of places to go.

The bedrooms were good, but the smaller bedroom was cramp as they have a heater right next to the bed, it is too close, I had to take the mirror down, as it was too loose, & we bumpy into it, & I didn't want to knock it off & break it. The terrace needs the walls plastering & then painting along with the guard rails over the windows & the windows need cleaning, they sorted everything else out for us on the Friday morning.

Two ladies in Yarm told me that Stockton Market used to be the place to go. The town was once buzzing. Investment is coming to Stockton, they said, and it'll come up again. I got a very good cup of coffee in Stockton and the buses, I read, are by Mercedes. But there didn't appear to be a taxi firm or rank at the station. If you're going places as a destination, that's a must.

Facilities in the area, Billingham Forum amongst others are very good. Diverse shopping especially for oriental groceries.
Large and obvious refugee population in Middlesbrough especially in public parks and spaces making you feel uneasy.

We stayed at Abbeyfield Lodge following our Son's wedding. Abbeyfield Lodge is excellent for any type of traveller. The room was spacious, well equiped and very clean. As was the bathroom and shower. Parking is not a problem. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Where else can you get a superb full english breakfast for £5.00. Other friends stayed in a nearby Hotel and were very dissapointed with the place. We would not hesitate to recommend Abbeyfield Lodge.
I often get the train up, so the hotel's proximity to Stockton Station & The Globe is very important; when I drive, I usually stay at a Prenier Inn, as it's cheaper. Very friendly staff, excellent room & bathroom; comfy bed, great TV & tea/coffee-making facilities. Breakfast very good, as usual, with the exception of the below.
Great location just outside Stockton on Tees with a very nice park walking distance away. The Stockton arms is a great pub with all sports channels which suited me nicely, but was far from a sports pub. They don't do food but the Masham restaurant around the corner, which is linked, was excellent and highly recommended.
Came up for a family funeral. Communicated with the owners via message before we arrived, and they couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly.
On arrival the place was really nice, comfy furniture, great facilities, great location, definately recommend and if we're ever in stockton again!
Lovely relaxing hotel, great for couples, family's or members of the Facilities. Highly recommend. We had a lovely night stay , nice evening meal and swim. Will definitely return. Check in time at 2pm was very convenient also
Loved everything about this property, location/cleanliness/quiet and very homely.
Our 2 nights stay was 100 pounds cheaper than a local ( middle of the range) hotel.
Wouldn't think twice about using again for family visits.
the inside of the property was ideal for myself and my son whilst we visited Family was a decent price compared to basic hotel room around the area that you didn’t have to share the toilet and bathroom.
The house is well suited in stockton-on-tees. It is right on river Tees and a walking distance to Durham Queen’s Campus.
The hosts are amazing.
We will definitely return back again.
Nice large room and bathroom, quiet and clean. Eventhough the hotel was full, there was no noticeable sound from other guests. Good location to walk to nearby pub and supermarket.
new hotel .... right in the center of stockton ... clean ... quiet .... very pleasant ... will be back for sure ... felt like home ... thank you for a nice stay
Full English for £5 say no more, where can you get that? Good quality and freshly cooked.
Ive used this Hotel in the past and would not hesitate to go back.
