Our accomodation is self catering. This means that we provide you with bread,butter,milk,jams,fruit,teas,coffee, for you to prepare at a time to suit you. You have a kitchenette and we ask for any bread/ milk preferences. Some people like to eat out in the evening,there is a wide variety of restaurants around us and we are happy to recommend ones we think you will like. Many people really enjoy buying groceries in town, only 10 mins walk away and making their own supper, the room has a sofa and dining table and there is a television/ DVD player which you can see from the bed or sofa. There is a wet room with toilet, basin and excellent power shower .We supply shower gel, and shampoo and all linen and towels. We are happy to put a load of washing in our machine and have an airer you can use. Sliding glass doors open straight onto a patio, with table and chairs. Parking is in front of the house.

We are a couple in our sixties ,self employed,and we love to travel and experience life in different countries. We enjoy meeting our guests and offering them accomodation that suits their needs.you can have complete privacy and we are around to give you as much input as you'd like.

Monmouth is a lovely, buzzy town with lots of independent shops and a range of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. There is a Cinema, two theatres and lots of live music in the pubs. Surrounded by beautiful countryside...the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons, Forest of Dean close at hand . Cardiff, Bristol and Hereford are within an hours drive. Walking, cycling, canoeing, caving and mountaineering are all popular local activities. We are surrounded by hills and rivers and forests and lots of history. In your room there are guidebooks and maps you can use. Victoria Estate is a quiet, dead end lane with an assortment of houses along it..we are the first in a Victorian terrace on the right. It is very peaceful here,and we are surrounded by trees and birdsong. Monmouth town centre is a 19 minute stroll along footpaths through a residential area. The nearest train stations are Chepstow, Hereford and Newport, all with regular bus connections. Please don't hesitate to ask any more questions!
