  • Good Afternoon, We are a family of 5. It is my husband, myself and my 3 children 13, 11 and 8 years old. We are looking for a place to stay in Salisbury for 8 nights. Your place looks beautiful and perfect location. Would you accept my third child in the second room? Thank you Paola
    I am sorry but the twin bedroom has no room for a 3rd bed. I could replace the chaise in the front bedroom with a child's bed. My only concern for you is that it would be a squeeze at the table if you wanted to eat in often. Hope this info helps.

Purlins has been described as a hidden gem and rightly so. Situated at the front of what looks like a modest property from the outside the inside is very different. This 2 storey apartment has been refurbished to a high standard with guests comfort and luxury in mind. The sunny sitting room has probably one of the best views of the Cathedral in Salisbury and whilst sat in the comfy velvet chairs one can while away hours looking at it and people watching on the High Street below. Situated just outside the High Street Gateway to the Cathedral Close it was one of the first buildings to be built after the Cathedral, some time in the 14th century. In order to protect it's importance it is Grade 2* listed. Not only is Purlins a great apartment, it's position is enviable. At the top end of the High Street, a no through road at night time and a friendly community in the day time. With it's own private outdoor terrace and a dedicated parking space to the rear of the building Purlins is a rare find in Salisbury.
We very much enjoyed the time refurbishing Purlins and now sharing it with guests is a pleasure. We take breaks there ourselves and it is the staying there which has helped us gain such good reviews. By using the space we know what guests need and how the space works. In 2011 we had Christmas there, my husband cooked and shouted out from the kitchen, "there's no carving fork!" Well now there is. It is the small things that make the difference. We prepare the apartment so that as soon as you step in you feel welcome and comfortable. It is equipped as if it was your own pied-a-terre and for the time of your stay it is. We hope to see you soon.
There is no more city centre than being in the centre of the High Street. From the bay window in the sitting room you can view the bustle on the street below and look right towards the Cathedral and left towards St Thomas's Church. All the shops, cafes and restaurants are on your doorstep.
