I really enjoyed the breakfast: I recommend the benedicts eggs on asparagus. I love to live in a living place with pub and restaurant. The wifi is excellent. We have to work and for us, it is a must to get a good wifi connection. We like to get coffee and tea in our bedroom.

Great shower with heated towel rail, warm room decor, excellent staff let us have breakfast even though were were late. Coffee was cafe-worthy and the breakfast very high quality. Nice art in the hall and stairs. A welcoming, cosy place. Appreciated the boot tray.

Loved the location and the couple that owned the house were very welcoming.tje scones on arrival and flap jack's in the bedroom were great as well.fantastic views surrounding as well.

The staff are Amazing, always friendly and helpful especially Kirsty who made this stay so special it was our 30th wedding Anniversary and she went out of her way to create a romantic setting for our evening meal . the decor is warm and inviting the rooms are clean with comfy beds , the food is very good all in all we love staying here and will be returning in December for our Christmas treat the inn’s spectacular Xmas decorations they are really awesome . we met the new manager in October he had just literally arrived although you wouldn’t know it he was very chatty and made you feel welcome .

    I'm afraid not. The best parking is at Rydal Road Car Park, approximately 400 yards from the inn. There are some spaces at the front for loading/ unloading however these have a strict 30 minute time restriction. Kind regards, Richard

  • What are the restrictions in the lakes?

    Hello Cumbria has been placed into Tier 2, which means pubs and restaurants in this area must only sell alcohol with a "substantial meal" only. We will also be forced to stop serving at 10pm and close by 11pm. Kind regards The Ambleside Inn

  • Is the car park attached to the hotel and do we have to pay? Are we guaranteed a space ?

    Hello, we don't offer free parking at our hotel, but there is a public car park nearby in the town centre. It is a 2 minute walk away from us. Charges do apply for this, it starts from £1.50 depending on your length of stay.

  • Good afternoon We are after family room at your property from 16th July ( 2 adult, 2 children ) We have a small dog and was wondering if it is ok to bring. We have tried to call but no luck Thank you Gary Crittenden
