Breakfast was very good although there were a lot of supplimentary costs for some dishes which was a little disappointing as breakfast was included in the cost.

The room, location and staff were all excellent. I would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again.
Great facilities and the terrace is great if you get the weather.
Rooms are modern and decorated to a very high standard. Shower was excellent

Clean throughout, warm facilities toilet, shower and pods.
Felt really safe & secure throughout our stay, the owner was regularly there keeping on top of the cleanliness of the property!
He also took the time to introduce himself and really and gave us plenty of ideas on what to do on a rainy weekend in the lakes.
Thank you Andy.

Very good staff. However, been above a pub the room was quite noisy (which wasn't a huge issues and to be expected) but sometime after closing.
Room was very small and the cleanliness wasn't the best - which probably explained the invasion of flies.
Watermillock is like the name of the area. Just odd houses and the A592 which runs through it. I believe that most of the attractions of the Lake District are away from this accommodation. However, Ullswater is visible from the road, and lots of walks and eating places are not far away.

We did a couple of walks along the Ullswater, travelling by steamer and bus as well as by car. It was beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed visiting Pooley Bridge for meals, café and bookshop, as well as meals at Another Place.

The receptionist at the tail on arrival was underwhelming say the least.
The room was small and rather shabbily furnished. The hotel advertises itself as a four star hotel but is actually a three star hotel. The restaurant food is way overpriced and very poor value for money. There is a 10% service charge on top of the food which is not discretionary as in every other hotel. Other than location there is little else of merit in this hotel and I would certainly not recommend staying there. If you are unfortunate enough to have booked to stay there I would advise that you have your meals on room service which is better value than the restaurant

Our B&B at Lowthwaite was first class, we were very happy to have booked to stay there. Watermillock is set in beautiful scenery around Ullswater. I would love to go again, but would avoid eating at the inn in Dockray next time.

Good location for a two-night stopover, The hotel restaurant was excellent. Hotel facilities were a little dated, but not a big issue. Gardens are extensive, with a short walk to the shore of Ullswater.
Ullswater Lake is our favourite lake and we have stayed in a number of different guest houses in this area. The Ullswater View is now our favourite. Lovely modern rooms and bathrooms, with robes and slippers provided for extra comfort. The breakfasts were lovely, lots of choice, great produce and homemade bread daily. The location is great set back from the main road (very quiet area so no issues with traffic) with wonderful views of Ullswater lake. Would highly recommend this guest house.
We had a lovely stay at Ullswater View. Quick drives to Pooley Bridge, Glenridding and Aira Force Falls. Service was excellent. Great breakfast, very clean facilities, comfortable room. The staff was wonderful and willing to share ideas on where to go. There are several walking trails in the area and the packed lunch from the hotel was perfect for our walk. And the honor bar was very much appreciated after a long day of walking.
The room was small but ergonomically designed so was perfectly adequate. The bathroom was excellent, we liked the simple shower controls. The room looked newly decorated and was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the produce was first class.
The B&B is not lakeside but the view of Ullswater and its environs from the room window was very pleasing.
The staff are friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful country house hotel, comfortable bedroom and modern bathroom. Caring staff, wonderful service. Dining overlooking Ullswater, beautiful grounds. Blazing log fires in very luxurious lounge, library and nice cosy bar. if fine dining is not your thing, then reasonable bar meals are available to eat in the lounge or your room. Breakfast met every requirement, healthy and indulgent options depending on your mood.
We rarely leave any review, but we’ve been really impressed by the kindness of our hosts, and their attention to detail. Quiet and intimate, this is the perfect retreat for a couple wishing to spent quality time minutes away from the gorgeous Ullswater.
Great room, great house and cleanliness is above standard.
Thanks again, highly recommended and we can’t wait to come back!
The views are spectacular. It’s a cosy little place, really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It’s been thoughtfully done with the comfort of guests in mind. It’s only a short drive from Pooley Bridge, which has two great pubs, the Ullswater steamer and shops. I didn’t want to leave.
An exceptionally beautiful and well appointed super modern property it was a privilege to stay here.
Clearly a great deal of thought, love and expertise have been put into this property and it is stunning with undisturbed views of ullswater and surrounding mountains.
We will be back thanks again!
Cosy, well equipped, great location for walking. Close to buses if your doing the Ullswater way. In fact its on the Ullswater way if you want to do it in one hit. Pooley bridge is close by. As is Penrith for food shopping. We really enjoyed our stay there. The view is wonderful. Would go back.
Lovely breakfast, varied selection and freshly cooked to your liking.
The jaccuzi bath in the room made the stay all the more memorable.
Excellent location for the whole of the Ullswater area, plenty of good walking all nearby.
Stayed while attending a wedding on Ullswater
room very comfy and breakfast lovely
Would have loved to have had time to sample the restaurant food and micro brewery ale but sadly not to be this time. Hopefully we'll be back
This beautiful b&b was a short drive from Ullswater Lake where I was taking part in a chill swim. We were close to breathtaking walks. The breakfasts were out of this world. Both hosts were friendly and very helpful.
Lots of great hiking trails nearby, and the staff were extremely helpful and accomodating. The breakfast was great, and it was awesome that they offered a sandwich or light meal to help when doing a hiking day.
We were very impressed by the Hotel Staff from the great receptionist to the bar staff etc. Breakfast was amazing true value for money. Thanks so much we will return.
