rattys retreat is a beautiful cottage with everything you need, set in a quiet area ,but just a short stroll into the village with 2 nice pubs a café and village store, the cottage with well placed to see all the beautiful areas of the Cotswold. linda is an amazing host very on the ball making everything so easy. many thanks linda

Very well-equipped little place, especially kitchen equipment, more than you would expect for a place like this. Very well organised with loads of instructions on how to use cooker etc. Outside there's a nice little sun-trap patio area, nice to sit outside with a cup of tea. Round the back (though not attached to property) there is a truly lovely garden area down by a burbling brook. There was even a bottle of wine, a packet of nice biccies and a vase of flowers waiting for us when we got there! A nice touch.

From the moment we arrived at Rattys Retreat, we knew this was going to be a special week. There were flowers and a bottle of bubbly waiting for us and rose petals on the bed. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has a lovely new kitchen. There is also a nice little garden for you to relax in. Blockley is a very quaint village with a really nice cafe/wine bar and pub that sells lovely food. Will definitely be back.

The property is situated in one of the loveliest villages in the Cotswolds. The village of Blockley is steeped in history surrounding the silk industry. It is close to many other popular attractions and yet is quieter than many of the more well known locations and therefore provides a tranquil retreat at the end of a day exploring.

We have been welcoming guests to Ratty's Retreat since September 2006. We have a background in hospitality and try to provide the highest standards of quality and service so that our guests have the best experience.

The Cotswolds is brimming with things to see and do. From animals and birds, museums, country houses and castles. There is something for everyone all year round.
