Cute b and b in a beautiful town and very accessible by train. The breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable.

The house was built in 1873 as the residence of a prosperous corn merchant, and although it has been renovated, it has not lost its original grandeur. Rayrigg Villa has 8 guest rooms, all with private bathrooms, TVs, free Wi-Fi, hairdryers, welcome trays, and bathroom amenities. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and dryer available for guests to use. Rayrigg Villa is a graded detached Victorian property, located in the heart of Windermere village, with shops, restaurants, and pubs all within a 2-minute walk. Overlooks Ellerthwaite Square and the azalea and rhododendron bushes of Library Gardens. One mile along New Road is the bustling village of Bowness and the bay where a variety of motorboats and steamers sail on England's largest lake, Lake Windermere.
