A nicely furnished, self contained and comfortable apartment within easy walking distance to the town. Our hosts, who live on site, were friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was excellent.

The hotel itself was in the perfect location, my family lives in Bewdley, and it was nice not to have to get a taxi too and from the hotel. The room was self contained with cooker, fridge, microwave, etc. The little touches of the shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, towels, and even down to toothpaste, exceeded this for us. In the kitchen was a supple of milk, tea coffee and sugar, enough not to keep going to reception and asking for it. The room was warm, throughout, and the put me up bed for our 4 year old, added comfort for her night. I could easily spend a whole week there, will definitely be returning.

Lovely welcome from Gareth who showed us around.Loved the room. It was very comfortable. Within walking distance to all shops. A small kitchenette with kettle,toaster, fridge. Very tastefully decorated. Secure parking on site.

So very comfortable and welcoming. Lovely and warm ( and able to control the heating for ourselves). So clean ( even our dog bed was hoovered!). We were on route to Cornwall so a convenient place to stay from the Lake District but hope to make a visit simply to stay once more. Also loved Bewdley.

Everything thing from arriving to leaving was handled perfectly. The main house is beautifully refurbished and our stand alone studio clean, fresh and very well kitted out to enable you to cook, bake or microwave and keep things cold in the fridge. There was even tea, coffee, milk and bottled water. Our little border terrier Mojo was made to feel very welcome and there was a safe area at the front for her to play. This brother and sister team are doing an excellent job (with Mum too!) and it was great to meet you xx

Redthorne House is a landmark historic and listed building within the heart of ancient and beautiful Bewdley. The house dates back to 1775 and was built by the Prince Merchant William Prattinton for his Country Home beside the river Severn. The house has recently been restored to its full Georgian Splendour with formal garden at the front which sets the stage for its own and unique grandeur and appeal as one of the most important architectural homes within the Conservation area. Bewdley is a picturesque town and home to The Severn Valley Railway, with the River Severn running through it; ideal for feeding the swans and ducks, great for walking and enjoying the British weather and a variety of great places to eat and drink. Bewdley museum is just around the corner extending into the peaceful, pretty Jubilee Gardens, where you can enjoy a quiet afternoon picnic or stroll if you so wish.

Gareth is closely associated with horses and the country and enjoys riding in the uniquely beautiful area of Worcestershire that the house is situated in. Paul is a historian and writer whose family have been linked with Bewdley's history since the 15th Century.

Bewdley, as described by the architectural historian Nicholas Pevsner, is one of the best preserved Georgian towns in the County, with hidden gems of historical beauty laid out across the town. The town nestles within the great Wyre Forest with pleasant riverside walks and a full frontage onto the glorious river Severn. The town is filled with restaurants and cafes which set the style of rest, relaxation and enjoyment. There is also a Museum within the town which charts the story of Bewdley through our Nation's history. Bewdley is the birth town of English Prime minister Stanley Baldwin and the home of the famous Severn Valley Railway and restored steam trains can take the visitor up the beautiful Severn Valley to the town of Bridgenorth and back.
