A delightful Border Oak apartment, located in the lovely rural village of Hyssington. Set in the grounds of the owner's home, this Hyssington cottage is contemporary yet rustic, offering lovely views, and is perfect for a romantic break. The double bedroom boasts the convenience of an en-suite wet room, and the open plan living area with kitchen, dining and sitting areas offers sociable, comfortable accommodation. This Hyssington cottage, reached by twelve external steps, offers a raised decking area, plus there is a gravelled sitting area at ground level that boasts views over the Kerry Ridge and Corndon Hill, an ideal place to relax or fire up a barbecue after a day spent exploring. Only 6 miles from your cottage are Bishop's Castle's shops, restaurants and excellent microbrewery pubs, and this self-catering apartment is in a wonderful location for outdoor enthusiasts with Offa's Dyke, The Shropshire Way and the Long Mynd all close by. Explore the Clun Valley and Kerry Forests, or enjoy a day out in Ludlow or Shrewsbury, plus Stokesay Castle and the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site are also within easy reach. Perfect for an all-year-round holiday.
Simon & Jo have lived in the surrounding area for most of their lives and have brought up their two daughters in this lovely, peaceful location. Simon & Jo have always loved hosting guests and making sure everyone feels welcome. As a family, the hosts have a lot of knowledge about the best things to do in the surrounding areas and are more than happy to impart their knowledge to any guests who choose to stay in the barn.
HYSSINGTON Bishop's Castle 6 miles. Hyssington is a small rural village situated on the Shropshire/Powys border, surrounded by scenic countryside including the Corndon and Stiperstone Hills and the lovely Long Mynd Hill Range. Nearby is the attractive market town of Bishop's Castle, which is also situated in the outstanding natural beauty of the South West Shropshire Hills. This ancient town offers a weekly market and a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat. Ideally placed for walking and touring the Welsh Marches and rural Shropshire, the fascinating medieval towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach for a day out. There are numerous nearby attractions including Powis Castle, the Severn Valley Railway and fantastic walking opportunities along Offa's Dyke and Shropshire Way.
