The hosts were so incredibly accommodating and helpful. Our dinner reservations in Bray were cancelled without notice to us. We ended up ordering the restaurant's "BBQ box" take out that had to be heated. The hosts were a tremendous help and gave us access to their kitchens to do so. The made extra effort to make our anniversary weekend special. The B&B is beautiful and in a good location, as a few restaurants were in walking distance. Although a little loud at times with trains nearby, and a little on the pricey side, we would still return. They took numerous Covid-19 precautions, and we felt more than safe there. The breakfast was excellent. We absolutely loved this B&B and will return.

United KingdomA really unique, beautiful hotel ran by a welcoming couple. The river arts club is located on the river with lots of restaurants nearby to suit your taste as well as lovely walks. We did a long walk to Windsor which was a really scenic route going through Eton and Dorney. Very well maintained, delicious breakfast and loved the honesty bar option!

We enjoyed the "honesty bar" (especially with places closing at 10pm) though it did run low with a fully booked hotel. We really loved our room: the decor, the little extras and the comfortable bed! The River Arts Club is at Oldfield, a Victorian riverside mansion nestled on the banks of the River Thames, with landscaped gardens sweeping down 60 metres to the river frontage with its own private mooring. It overlooks the Guards Club Island, a natural reserve for birds, Brunel’s Sounding Arch and William Turner’s famous bridge. The River Arts Club is home to an extensive art collection which is exhibited in all the bedrooms as well as in the common parts and the living room. The accommodation varies from large suites with open wood fireplaces to a single occupancy room, all in keeping with the spirit and essence of the building. All rooms come with a private bathroom -with bathrobes and free toiletries - and are equipped to the highest standards with flat screen tv, Nespresso coffee machine, free wifi. Clients can enjoy a drink from the bar, an afternoon tea or a healthy light meal in the lounge, in their rooms and in the garden of the property. The River Arts Club is in the countryside only 40 miles from London, 16 miles from Heathrow Airport and 2 miles from the culinary village of Bray.
The River Arts Club is very close to Bray village, the culinary centre of the British countryside with its two Michelin 3 starred restaurants, Michel Roux’s Waterside Inn and Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck. Also in Bray is the one starred pub The Hind’s Head and The Crown. Nearby are The Royal Oak (1 star) in Maidenhead, the Hand and Flower (2 stars) in nearby Marlow and the stately Cliveden with its spa and National Trust Park. Ophelia, our private river launch, is available to take guests to many of these restaurants. A short trip downstream the river allows them to take in the bucolic surroundings over a glass of champagne. The River Arts Club is also ideally situated for any guest who wishes to attend Henley Regatta, the races at Ascot, polo matches at Smith’s Lawn or any of the many local polo fields, championship golf at Wentworth or simply enjoy the charm of the Club, a “home away from home”, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
