Coed-y-Celyn is a beautiful Grade II listed house on the banks of the River Conwy, half a mile from the popular village of Betws-y-Coed, in the heart of Snowdonia. The Apartment is located on the ground floor with private access from the south facing gardens and nearby parking. There is one spacious family bedroom which can sleep up to 5 people with a small en suite bathroom.The large open plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen have views to the garden and across the river valley. Wifi and TV Lots of DVDs to watch.
This part of the house has been in my family since 1960. My Grandfather was an Artist and collector of Oriental Antiques. My Mother was also a local artist and I spent my childhood surrounded by their art. This influenced me to take up painting at an early age but my passion is Ballet and I now have my own school. The owners are usually in the north wing of the house and can be contacted 24hrs as well as others on site help.
Whilst the house is in a tranquil position in the valley, it is only a short walk from the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed. There you will find cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as art galleries, gifts and outdoor pursuit shops with mountain bike hire. There is a miniature railway popular with adults and children, a large village green great for kicking a football around or picnics. With many riverside walks, a Golf course and fishing there is something for everyone. Nearby you can also visit the popular Zipworld Forest, Bounce Below, Cavern Adventures and the Titan zip wire. Mountains and lakes are minutes away and beaches a 30 minute drive. There are many walking and cycling routes directly from the apartment. A short drive away in any direction will lead you to other places to park and walk and cycle or kayak. There is a regular Sherpa bus from the village which takes you to the mountains including Snowdon. Also trains to Llandudno and Porthmadog. We have room to store bikes and Kayaks inside securely.
