Lovely decoration throughout. Great location. Fabulous beds. Good wifi signal. Very cosy. Well equipped kitchen. Liked the aga. Had never used one before.

There were just a few points which could be better: The light beige carpets in the dining room and corridors need a proper professional clean.It looks very bad , full of dark spots! Also we mentioned already that the main gate to the property is not locked ...you can easily press it open and everybody can walk in. The toilet seat of the bathroom in the little annex was broken as well was the fitting of the cold water loose.

One of Edinburgh's oldest homes and definitely one of the most beautiful and historic! Built in 1756 for a Merchant, Rock House is a historic gem in the HEART of Edinburgh. From its secluded position at the foot of infamous, Calton Hill, it has an elavated terrace which has the most wonderful panoramic views over the landmark sites of the City. It is hard to believe you are just 50 metres from Princes Street with the feeling of being in a grand country house and gardens.
