Room (I think it was 14?) was nice, although tv perhaps a bit small by modern standards. Good lighting for reading in bed - thankyou! Public rooms and front gardens very nice; the website showed more extensive grounds behind the hotel, but we had an evening commitment and a fairly early departure, so didn't get to look! Breakfast was fine and nicely served at table by friendly staff. Haddington is a nice small town with clearly a lot of history around the town and general region. I would like to come back to this area at some point, and this feels like a good base.

3rd stay in Gullane love the location beach is amazing, plenty shops to stock up if self catering. Chip shop is amazing and had meal at Bonnie Badger can’t recommend enough, Grace of India in Aberlady didn’t disappoint with our curry night, you get what you pay for with them all not the cheapest but definitely the best we’ve had. Close to plenty of places to visit, Archerfield Walled Garden well worth the walk or drive, our first time. Gullane is close to small railway stations for ease of visiting Edinburgh and North Berwick, buses also on high street. Golfers paradise but we don’t golf but still perfect either way. So plenty walks, great food, doorstep shops and cafes, public transport if needed whats not to likeAngela - 10Scored 10

It’s super modern, light and airy in white, greys and yellows with lovely high ceilings. It’s cleaned to a very high standard with all that we needed for our two-night stay. Only a 40 min drive into Edinburgh, as well as so many surrounding golf courses! Grateful for the parking space too - all was easy to find with the pre-arrival email by Graham.

Breakfast choices were excellent and served by friendly staff. Very easy check out, I then returned after a fabulous local coastal walk with a friend for coffee and freshly baked scones. I would recommend a stay in this lovely hotel and hope to return in the future.

There are several places to eat within easy walking distance and some nice shops in the village. We were in the area to play golf but there are lots of other things to do nearby if golf isn’t your thing. The secure garden was an unexpected bonus especially on sunny days.
