Nice bathroom, quiet place, fine breakfast. Some interiors and furniture oldie but very goldie.
IrelandLocated on a country lane just off the Main Street In Callander, Roman Camp offers hospitality with history and excellent service. Rooms are furnished with antiques. Wood fires are burning. There is a choice of 2 restaurants plus bar that will serve soup and sandwiches in the spacious and beautifully decorated public rooms which retain a feeling of coziness and elegance. We visited in early September 2021 while there was a staff shortage due to Covid, but the efforts of the staff were obvious. We were well cared for. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. We were a short car ride from Sterling and its castle plus a short walk to the Callander shops. A most brilliant stay. Don’t miss this place!
United States of AmericaLoved EVERYTHING, The ease of check in, very easy to park the car, the 20 acres of gardens and lawns were so beautiful and thankfully we’re free from signs posted what is allowed/not allowed as is the case at too many hotels. The beautiful river flowing just below the lodge makes it so special. In the afternoon we took an ice bucket with a bottle of wine and 2 glasses down to the river and painted with our watercolors. However, the absolute best thing was the pre-fixed dinner. I live in Paris and I honestly have never had a dinner as wonderful as the one we enjoyed at Rome in Camp Hotel. Kudos to the chef, it was just incredibly delicious and so beautiful.

Bought over by the Brown family in 1989 Eric & Marion have been 'keeper of the key!' of this stunning house For 28 years. We have 15 beautifully appointed suites and rooms, set in 20 acres of garden. The magnificent drawing room looks over the River Teith, has elegant silk panelled walls, makes an elegant backdrop for any occasion. Then our breathtaking wood panelled library, with feature floor standing lamps has a small chapel, hidden behind the door. This room can take on many looks, like a chameleon, whether for a wedding or intimate private family get together, with open log fire. Walking from the library you will pass through our Whyte bar, with antique grand piano this bar hosts a fine selection of over 40 malt whiskeys and I hope a new gin for you to try. The Oval Dining Room, Drummond Suite, looks very opulent when set with its crystal glass wear and silver cutlery. Looking over the garden, you'll be hoping to spy one of our many peacocks. So happy and proud of our 3-star AA award winning restaurant and kitchen team lead by Ian McNaught and Darren Cotteril.
