The location is stunning and quiet, the beds super comfortable, the property so clean, the host was so accommodating. We all had the best sleep at Rose Cottage. The children loved the selection of games and books and were amazed by the chance to walk freely in the field with the horses and donkey. They loved seeing the rabbits on the driveway each day too. You definitely need a car to get around. Lynda is a phenomenal host - always there to help, great to talk to, and provides lovely touches to the guests (the scones on arrival and a bottle of milk in the fridge) We loved everything about this cottage and plan to return. Thank you Lynda!

The views are stunning, beautiful rural location near to Rye. So peaceful and Lynda the owner is so friendly and helpful. We took our two dogs with us, there is a field nearby to walk dogs and Rye is very dog friendly. We went to camber, rye nature reserve and for meals at the Globe Marsh Inn and William the conqueror with the dogs too 😊

    Hi! Dogs no problem, I do ask that dogs do not go up stairs to bedrooms! We have plenty of land, 25acres but there are horses and donkeys. So no problem regards Lynda

  • Hi Looking at your property to stay in over new year 1st to 4th or 5th January Could you tell me how far you are from rye harbour is it walk-in distance? We have a dog and like walking. And is there heating in all rooms? Is the house just ours or shared with other quests.

    Hi. Regarding your enquiry , Rye Harbour is at least 9 miles from the cottage, I have had a guest walk it but it is a long way. The house is heated in all rooms and is detached, although I live in the main house next door. Regards Lynda

  • There is about 8 of us. Your place is huge. Would you allow extra people for an extra cost. We are only staying overnight 13/10 until the 14th..

Hi I welcome all at Rose Cottage, as do the resident donkeys George and Jeffery, three Shetland ponies , we are only a short drive to Camber sands lovely beach and the old town of Rye. We have a local pub and village shop in Iden, which is a half hour walk from Rose Cottage. We have some lovely views over the Romney March, which can be seen from most of the windows. If there is any special needs just ask! if I can do I will.

I am retired, and enjoy meeting people which is why I let my cottage, I do all the cleaning, washing etc for cottage, and bake the scones usually left for guests, all which I enjoy!

There is lots to see around Iden, nice village shop, good pub and lots of good walls, also you are only a few miles from the ancient town of Rye with its old buildings and cobbled streets. Also a short distance from Camber Sands and it's lovely Sandy beach! Then you also have lovely views and plenty of space to roam at Rose Cottage, plus the added donkeys and ponies to see , don't forget to bring a carrot you will be there friend for life.
