A cosy cottage in the quiet Cornish village of Lanreath where legend has it; a ghost dressed in black driving a coach pulled by headless horses has been sighted. Easily accessible to any of the 400 Cornish beaches and the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. The cottage was originally a barn and was converted approximately 20 years ago, keeping many of its characteristics ie. stone walls and wooden beams, it is an upside down cottage with the bedroom and shower room on the ground floor and on the second floor the lounge and kitchenette area. Guests are invited to use all of the garden which extends up steps to beautiful views across the hills with plenty of seating areas where you can sit with a glass of wine and read or just admire the view. Lanreath has a Village Shop & Post Office, a Bar and a Church which the present building - or the earliest part of it- dates back approximately 900 years.
- From Lanreath just six miles is the fishing port of Looe where there are many boat trips, from Shark fishing to leisure trips, or you can just amble around the quaint streets where there are many shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. - nearby is the quaint village of Polperro (six miles) with its very narrow streets where you have to park the car in the car park and and walk or catch the tram through the narrow streets of shops, restaurants and cafes down to the Harbour. - also nearby is Polruan (eight miles) again parking in the car park (with breath taking views looking down to Polruan or out to the Atlantic) you can amble down the narrow streets to the boat yard where you can catch a ferry across to Fowey, from the ferry you will see the famous author Daphne du Maurier's cottage from where she wrote some very famous novels and short stories. - The Eden Project (16 miles) with massive Biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity. - The Lost Gardens of Heligan (25 miles) - Mevagissey (25 miles) On the South Coast - Padstow (34 miles) Port Isaac (26 miles) in TV frequently used as a set for Doc Martin and Poldark
