Absolutely adorable staff. Breakfast was scrumptious the bed was comfy the rooms that we had were super clean and the showers were nice and hot. There is a canal that runs behind the hotel in the field where the narrow boats passed through. It was a beautiful little hike through the wildflowers to see the canal. Very convenient for Chester and Liverpool.

Bedroom was clean and really comfortable, better than I expected for the price. Very close to a busy road but earplugs were provided which were a nice touch! Staff were lovely, and super helpful. Ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel, which were extra but both were good. All in all a lovely weekend away and superb value for money.

Extremely reasonable room rate. Room was immaculately presented, spotlessly clean. Friendly staff, very hospitable. Bar, dining area, warm and inviting, clean and welcoming. Food was excellent, went with recommended starter and main course, generous portions. Mat was very professional and hospitable in front of house duties. Through in the kitchen, Matt ('with two T') cooked superb food. Ample free parking on site. A very pleasant stay, would highly recommend this hotel.

  • We are coming via train and would like to use public transport to roam around attractions like Zoo etc. Please can you let us know how feasible or easy the public transport is (from station to hotel and hotel to zoo etc)

    Hi. A taxi from the station is roughly £10 and to the zoo from the hotel is roughly £11. There are buses also. Hope this helps.
