“My overwhelming impression of The Royal Pier is of very welcoming and friendly staff which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Twin room with sea view was clean, warm, large and recently nicely refurbished. Breakfast was good and served quickly. Seafront location was pleasant and access to the surrounding shops and restaurants was good. The pool and hot-tub were very clean and nice to use. It is a characterful hotel and while the odd public area could possibly use a lick of paint, overall it was great value for the money.”
