“I like the 17th century building, the totally central location, all the nice wood on the walls and stairs, the big windows, the fireplace, the bar, the wine and food. It is a traditional English hotel with a warm welcome from Sharon and Liz at reception. There are a few quirks like remembering to check and switch on the bathroom heating and sliding the elderly traditional wooden sash windows up and down successfully. I like the reasonable prices. I like the flowery curtains, real dark wooden bedheads and furniture and thick carpets. So English. So charming.”
