Eastbourne is a friendly seaside town with a quirky array of conventional shops, charity shops and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. The streets are wide and generally clean. The only criticism is the parking. It is well populated and has a fair amount of visitors so finding a space on the street can be difficult. I stuck with the central NCP which saved time and a headache!

Beachfront location. Very close to lots of other amenities. Town centre a short walk away, with a variety of shops and eateries. Train station also nearby. Local bus route runs just behind hotel. But many conveniences located within a short walk. Eastbourne Wheel (seasonal attraction) is right opposite to Lansdowne hotel. The guy who dealt with us could not have been nicer,he was welcoming, informative and very polite. The hotel is charming and in a great location right at the seafront and just a few minutes walk to the shops and train station. We had full English breakfast which was lovely and good value. The room we stayed in was small but satisfactory for a couple of nights stay ,if I was staying longer I would book a larger room . Ample tea, coffee toiletries etc, hairdryer, iron and fan .Comfortable open seating areas on the ground floor and a small bar.

The studio flat is very cosy and clean, it has all I needed for our stay . 2 adults and 1 child can just fit in this place, all sleeping in one room. Everything is spotless, well equipped kitchen, quiet area, walking distance to the town centre. Joanna was very helpful and communicated well, very flexible and friendly host! It's more than a hotel room as it has a kitchen area and a laundry room to use. We have been shown a lounge and dining area too to use downstairs. Good value for money. Highly recommended little studio flat!
