Wonderful big English breakfast served with a smile and interest.
Loved the location and personal attention to preferences.
The building has thick walls and so internet was not possible in the rooms. But internet is possible in the pub and entrance lounge/outside seating at front door.

Everything was spotlessly clean in this beautiful B&B, sitting on top of the world. Breakfast was delish and allowed for customization of breakfast for folks with allergens (wonderful GF pancakes and crumpets). Their gin bar was a really fun addition. Highcliffe is perfectly located amongst Lynton and Lynmouth. You can easily walk into town or take the charming water-powered tram between the two towns. Robert and Richard were stunning hosts are were readily available all times of the day from directions into town to local recommendations. Cheers!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Rebecca who was warn , cheerful and friendly we were made to feel welcome immediately.
The hotel is tastefully decorated with fine furnishings. Our room was superb and with a sea view.
Prior to our arrival we had already had a three course lunch so unfortunately, we had no room to dine in the evening. Our breakfast was amazing and upon our check out we were able to speak to Steve. He was pleased with our comments and we ended up chatting about all sorts of things, that’s what we call friendly.
We will definitely be going back at some stage and would highly recommend the North Cliff Hotel

Good location for the many walks near by.
Good location for the many walks near by. Not many places to eat in the evening if you didn't want to drive any where. Lack of toilets for public use. You need to be quite fit to get the best out of Lynton as it is very hilly. People are friendly which was very good. I would recommend the Crown Hotel for food and good service.

We really enjoyed Lynton.
We really enjoyed Lynton. We walked from our hotel in Rockford and enjoyed a pint and great fish and chips on a quiet, out of season Sunday. I imagine it's a different proposition in the Summer, but we prefer places like this when it's a bit quieter.

Lynton/Lynmouth - vey nice area. We hiked from Lynmouth up the hill - going right to pub 'the blue ball inn' - then on to Watersmeet - from there up the stream to Rockford Inn and then down to Lynmouth again.

A small and friendly cliff side town with a wonderful cliff railway and a tea shop selling the very best cream teas in all the surrounding area. Ample parking in a large convenient carpark to the town with many shops and facilities.
The room was well decorated and well furnished, with two lovely chairs in the bay window overlooking the sea. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and spacious.
Breakfast offered a lot of choice and the foot was great. The couple who run the place were also lovely.
There is a sister hotel just 100m down the road where you can also order an evening meal, which gave us generous portions. I also love the honesty bar. It felt very homely and more like an apartment as we also had use of the guest lounge as well. Would thoroughly recommend.
Wow you don't find places like this very often. Immaculate 5 star service from start to finish and the most comprehensive breakfast choice I have ever had the pleasure of choosing from. A very imposing three story house in a prime position with commanding views over the Lynton and the coast beyond. The bed and mattress were heavenly. Robert worked really hard at all times to make the stay a comfortable and safe one. Thank you very much indeed.
This guesthouse is a gem. The rooms are cosy, comfortable and stylish. The house, the furniture, even the floors and the ceiling breathe the athmosphere of ancient navy battles.
Breakfast is freshly cooked by Clive, and Maria will make sure that you get everything you need before you start your hike on the south-west coast path. Oh, en Lynton and Lynmouth are very pittoresque and definitely worth a visit or even a longer stay.
Great short break with family. B&B was in a great location. Lynton and Lynmouth were both fantastic places to visit. There was a small car park, which we used whilst staying. The host was very welcoming and prepared a delicious breakfast each morning, with plenty of choice - including vegetarian options. The room was a good size and bathroom huge! We really enjoyed the stay and would not hesitate to return.
Rebecca who runs the hotel is simply lovely - so helpful and kind. The hotel is a beautiful Victorian building with stunning views of the sea. The facilities are all excellent and the beds were really comfortable. We enjoyed the extra features, like the guest lounge and the breakfast each morning was outstanding. We would highly recommend this hotel.
old fashioned Inn next to the river with access to some foot paths. The Inn has parking for cars. The bar area has lots of character and real fires. The Inn stock a couple of beers draft but everything else comes from bottles. All the beers are from the Exmoor brewery. The evening meals were nice when available. Our twin room was clean and tidy.
We received a very warm welcome at the Blue Ball, the room and en-suite were clean and tidy. The selection of meals for lunch and dinner is very good. The location of the Blue Ball is excellent for both Lynton and Lynmouth and the river walks.
On the whole a great place to stay, we will be back.
Brilliant location next door to the Cliff Railway with splendid views across to Lynmouth Bay.
Staff are warm and welcoming.
Room 7 has rather appealing furniture and was it was all very clean.
Dinner and breakfast all hearty home cooked food.
Good choice to stay when in Lynton and Lynmouth.
Hospitable hosts, well appointed spotlessly clean accommodation . Set in very peaceful location on the edge of Exmoor and about 12 minute drive to Lynton or Lynmouth. Varied walks in close proximity. Loved the spectacular starlit nights with no light pollution. Highly recommended
Just returned from a lovely weekend in Lynton. Drew and Penny were great hosts, so friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable and our breakfast was lovely. The location is perfect for exploring Lynton and Lynmouth and there are so many beautiful walks around.
Great location for hiking and likes the quietness of the hotel yet it’s close to Lynmouth and Lynton. Food and local ales were very good. Great welcoming atmosphere. The owners work hard to ensure the guests enjoy their stay. Would definitely return.
Sinai house was an excellent B&B, the breakfast was lovely and the hosts were so friendly and hospitable. The views from the bedroom were impressive and I would definitely recommend the B&B to anyone visiting Lynton and Lynmouth.
The location is brilliant to base for lynton lynmouth area an easy walk into lynton and the surrounding areas and the SW coast path Aa RR d5 fantastic room to stay in we stayed in room 3 with the balcony it was awesome.
We loved the location.a short walk along a tarmacked path into Lynton and for the intrepid a few steps from a great walk to Watersmeet. An absolute Gem National trust T Room on the river to break the round trip.
Friendly staff in a family run hotel and pub, large clean room with kettle and tea facilities, ample parking, great location for exploring North Devon coast by car or foot. Awesome breakfast.
Breakfast was excellent. Interesting experience navigating to the hotel but once there secure parking. I did not need to move car once arrived as could walk to where we wanted to go.
The B &B was emaculate and well presented. The hosts were very helpful and professional. The house is well positioned to explore Lynton and Lynmouth and the surrounding area
