  • Are the restaurant and bar open for breakfast and evening dining as normal. Are there restrictions on where visitors can come from? We are in Wigan borough.

    The restaurant is open for lunch and evening dining, Monday - Friday 12pm till 2:30pm and 5pm till 8:30pm. Then at weekend Saturday - Sunday 12pm till 8:30pm

  • is the bar and restaraunt still open ? could we guarantee a room with a bath ? do you do sunday roasts on a sunday evening ? thank you.

    The Bar and Restaurant is still open (this is before the Government annoucement on Monday the 12th), Unfortunately we dont have any rooms with baths in they are all en-suite showers. We do have a sunday roast on sunday.

  • Hi do you have a double room on the ground floor? With a walk in shower (not over the bath). Also it says Towels/sheets an extra fee? What does that mean? How much is it to have sheets on the bed and towels in the bathroom. Thank you. Jacqueline and John

    hi we do have rooms available on the ground floor with showers. Towels and sheets are included in our room rates and beds are made up already for your arrival. regards, kathryn.

The Shard is a modern-day Inn sat on the banks of the River Wyre. We serve locally sourced Lancashire food, and hand pull ales from the Lancaster Brewery. Our 23 en-suite bedrooms are contemporary styled and comfortable, with panoramic riverside views. Our restaurant is fully open for breakfast,lunch and dinner

Neighborhood info

The Shard Riverside is set in an idyllic location on the banks of the River Wyre just a short distance from some great attractions. The Bowland fells and Forrest of Bowland for those who love to be in the great outdoors, you can also find biking trails plus lots of wildlife to discover. The views from the 'Trough of Bowland' are simply stunning so don't forget your camera! On a clear day, you can see for miles across several counties and even the distant Lake District. For those thrill seekers among you then head to Blackpool and take a trip to The Pleasure beach or visit the world-famous Blackpool Tower and stroll along the promenade and visit the many arcades that Blackpool has to offer, don’t forget to pick up your rock. Just a two-minute car journey away is Poulton-Le-Fylde or Garstang just 15minutes away offer a quieter alternative with a more traditional take to life on the Fylde coast. Garstang has its own canal and tow-path to explore and is only a short distance from Bowland Fells.
