United KingdomWhat can I stay the location and views… just WOW! It is the perfect location to just switch off from reality and fully appreciate the beautiful British countryside The hut itself is well equipped with everything you need… bbq, fire fit, fridge and shower, even A eco loo, takes some time getting used to but all part of the experience 😂 I would recommend walking to the local pub hambro arms for a pint or two!

United KingdomWe loved the views and the hut set up. The hut is in the sun all day which was great for us. The fire pit and wood burner were so fun (and needed as when we stayed it was 2 degrees at night). The hut has electric sockets and the shower, dry toilet, fridge were a great addition and so close to the hut (The toilet had an incredible view too). Jess the horse in the field next to us was such a character and we loved looking at the young lambs. It was great we could bring both our dogs with us too! The hut is in a perfect location very near to the pub at Milton Abbas. There is a lot of walking on the door step. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend booking here.

United KingdomWe really like the location and amazing views. Variety of places of interest within easy reach - the coast, the towns and beautiful countryside. We also enjoyed the peace and privacy. Despite being in our late seventies, the layout of all the facilities were great And we look forward to returning to the Shepherds Hut.

The Shepherd's Hut is an original shepherd's hut which which was built about 1920 and was left on the farm when we bought the farm in 1997. I refurbished and fully insulated it some years ago and used it when I was lambing my sheep. It enjoys uninterrupted southeasterly views to the Dorset coast and the Isle of Wight.
I am a recently retired country vet and now manage our small farm on which we have a flock of sheep and six horses at livery. I have a few hives of bees and enjoy gardening and woodwork projects. Audrey is a local District Councillor. We have 4 children and 5 grandchildren spread around the world.
The famous thatched village of Milton Abbas is half a mile from the farm. It has a very good restaurant/pub (The Hambro Arms) and the beautiful Milton Abbey at the far end of the village.
Blandford Forum is the nearest town (7 miles away) with good restraints and supermarkets and Dorchester, the county town is 9 miles away.
