I went just at the start of the Easter break, and it was nice and quiet, I imagine it being a popular summer resort. Good facilities with plenty of eateries. Travelling around Southend was okay, gets busy during rush-hour. Great long walks along the esplanade and the pier. A lot of the shops were closed during close-season.

I lived in Southend for many years, this was a visit to see family and attend a family gathering. The town (I will never call it a city) is a shadow of its former self. I wouldn't go to Southend unless I had a specific reason, it just isn't as welcoming as it used to be and the high street is dead. In the summer, short break with young children who want no more than the beach and this place would be ok. There are some decent restaurants but stay out of the town centre for those.

Going around visiting places. Eating out.

Going around visiting places. Eating out. Great taxi service. Hotel was not so good. Not disabled friendly. Fell in bathroom not built for anyone who is disabled.. Hurt myself quite bad. Screaming in agony. Apart from that. Will not be staying in this hotel again

Southend (bearing in mind our visit was in Winter!)

Southend (bearing in mind our visit was in Winter!) is actually really nice. We didn't expect much (we expected Morecambe, but got Southport!). There decent shops; the promenade was clean and open. We ate in The Last Post, but would certainly try other places when we visit again. It is hard to give a fair representation of a town after a very brief visit, but it made a sufficiently good impression for us to want to see more, when the opportunity arises

We had a fantastic time but will never bist Toby carvery"s half way house again as staff were rude and couldn't deliver on an ice cream pudding and then charged us over our Groupon voucher people were leaving by the bucket load due to the apaulling service and badly trained staff a complaint to Toby carvery is in the process. But other than that Southend on sea is a lovely place a great beach and super shopping centre and old Leigh had the best seafood I had tasted in a long time

This property was first class. We booked 2 rooms for 1 night to take my mother in law to Southend. All I can say is I have never stayed in such a friendly hotel - from the owner to the cleaners - everyone had a smile on their face and could not do enough to accommodate us. The hotel is modern, beautifully designed bedrooms and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also great. Just a short walk to all the main attractions - I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it - thank you Seven Hotel for such a nice stay.

The hotel has a lovely 1920's vibe with boutique furnishings in the seating and bar area. The room was amazing for what we had paid for it. The value, in this case, was outstanding. We enjoyed all the room's facilities. Beautiful suite. The staff is polite and exceptional. The receptionist that day was particularly tentative to us and a great conversationalist, and also a young lady at the bar was the same. This made us feel welcomed.

Everything in the Room was spotless and beds very comfortable, although room was a little hot for me when we arrived i was able to cool the room easily using the aircon and hd a lovely nights sleep. I have stayed at same hotel previously and will definately be booking again - the location is perfect for enjoying weekend in southend being in town and so close to beach/seafront.

Large rooms, clean, and well maintained. Great food, great service, exceptionally good breakfast. Best location in Southend On Sea, perfect for a quiet couple weekend. The town doesn't have much to offer for adults, but the hotel makes up for it. The food is exceptionally good, and despite being a busy hotel you can still retreat to a very quiet room. Highly recommended

Location is great, walk to the bottom of the lovely road and you can catch the train to Leigh On Sea or Southend, or you can walk along the seafront. The road the apartment is situated on is lovely and you are stones throw away from shops and cafes. Host was excellent, great communication. We will be booking again for our next visit

The hotel was about 15 mins walk away from Adventure Island area of Southend. There was complimentary water (still and sparkling), biscuits and tea/coffee in the room - and a jacuzzi bath that we didn’t get to use. Check in and check out we’re smooth. Lovely view of the sea from both windows.

The accommodation is very well kept, neatly furnished, spotlessly clean. It is located within short walking distance of the seafront, the train station, and local shopping. The management was very responsive when we had a housekeeping request. The kitchen facilities were perfect for our needs.

The host was very friendly and very helpful. We were surprised how big the apartment was. There was plenty of room and everything we needed. Walking distance from train station shops and restaurants. Would definitely use these apartments again if we stay in southend on sea.
