The food at Russels Restaurant deserves a Michelin Rating and is priced fairly moderately. The hosts are the best by far! Robert makes you feel like an old friend just came for a visit. Smiddy House isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Smiddy and were well looked-after by the lovely friendly team. From our COVID-safe greeting on arrival to day-tripping tips over breakfast, everything was very enjoyable. Breakfast was the best we had over our entire trip - absolutely delicious and lots of local produce. The room was small but perfectly formed - beautifully decorated, lots of local toiletries in the bathroom and we especially loved the china teapot and refreshments tray. The bed was super-comfy too. Spean Bridge is much more picturesque than nearby Fort William but only a 15-minute drive from there, so it's very well-located. Lots of locals visiting the restaurant too which was lovely to see. We really hope that your business continues to thrive now we are coming out of lockdown - the service was exceptional and we felt very much at home. Thank you.”

“Location was perfect, easy to find. Greeted by Robert/host upon arrival, beautiful room which was very clean. The beds were very comfortable with extra pillow and black-out curtains to keep the room dark and help extend our sleep! Very quiet location, just the sound of the river outside. Dinner was excellent, menu had a good selection of game and other local produce in addition to good selection of drinks/ wine.”
