We are ideally situated for people visiting Gosport or Portsmouth to see friends or family, the historic dockyard and submarine museum, or shopping trips to Gunwharf outlet centre. As well as people working in the area or undertaking sailing courses such as Clipper Training. We boast a number of great facilities including free on-site parking, free Wifi throughout, lounge bar / games room with pool table. A hearty, full English breakfast is included. In addition hot and cold snacks are also available. All our rooms offer en-suite facilities, free on-site parking, free Wifi, free view and tea/coffee making facilities. We offer a varied breakfast menu, freshly cooked to order, which includes a hearty ‘Full English’, omelettes, toasted sandwiches, as well as vegetarian and healthy options. Built as the original Railways Station Hotel, Spring Garden House boasts a large number of period features.

We are a family operation, in business for nearly 30 years with (mum) Heather Carr, (daughter) Jo York and (husband / son-in-law) Mike York. Mike and Jo have been married 18 years and have 2 children Jay (11) and Caitlin (7). The whole family enjoy many of the water sports available at Stokes Bay such as sailing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. As well as camping and caravanning around the UK. Heather and husband Jack (now sadly deceased) opened Spring Garden Guest House in 1987, after spending a year renovating the disused property, which had last been used as a hotel in 1945. Prior to that Heather and Jack were well known publicans in the local area. Heather likes travelling and spending time with her grandchildren

Gosport and neighbouring Portsmouth are steeped naval heritage and Spring Garden Guest House is ideally situated for guests wishing to explore the Submarine Museum, Explosion Armaments Museum and Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard. For those wishing to shop, we are close to Gosport Town Centre, and a short ferry ride from Gunwharf Quays Outlet Centre, with great shops, cinema, bowling and a variety of restaurants and bars. Our central location also means our guest can enjoy a large number of local eateries, Gosport side of the water; including traditional British pub fayre, fine dining, Thai, Indian and Chinese restaurants. As well as a number of local bars, pubs and clubs within easy walking distance. For guest lookign to explore our sea and coastal surroundings, we are close to the Marinas, harbour and only a short drive away from Stokes Bay beach.
