I arrived very late in the night and had only a few hours to rest before the next flight. It was a really nice surprise as I found my room decorated with a Harry Potter theme (I am a fan of HP), so it made me smile. I noticed that all the rooms have their own topics, so it might be an adventure to discover them all :) The room was small but there was everything I might need, including towels, private shower (toilet was shared but as I understood, only with one room or two), a kettle and some tea, even there was a small sweet gift. The hotel is really close to Stansted airport and I suggest you to reach the place by Stansted airport taxi (it was really nice that even the driver let me in, it costed me like ~26-27 GBP to reach the place at 2AM). The area looked very nice, too.

  • Is it self check in all day or just a late check in?

    We operate Self Check in monitored by CCTV. You can arrive between 4pm and 2am and access the property. No waiting in line at a reception desk just go straight to your room. It's easy and convenient. Candy is always available to assist via phone.

Stansted Lodge has been running since May 2005. Candy works hard to make your stay as pleasant and stress free as possible. This includes organising airport transfers when required, assisting with any local knowledge, and providing the best guesthouse service possible.

Stansted Lodge is in a very quiet location within the beautiful rural village of Elsenham. Close to small groups of shops and walking distance to the local train station (London - 50 minutes). Less than 10 minutes drive from Stansted Airport makes Stansted Lodge a great place for early starts or late nights!
