Lovely place, the harbour has been pedestrianised with really nice fish restaurants with views of the harbour while you dine outside. More fishing boats here now to service them. A great place to watch people & boats go by while you drink or eat
Beach is mostly sandy & great for dogs to exercise

Weymouth has a lot to offer visitors.
Weymouth has a lot to offer visitors. A lovely wide and sandy main beach, where you can walk all the way along to Bowleaze cove, another nice spot (pebble beach) but quieter.
Brewers Quay is great to wander around, plenty of cafes and restaurants and again you can walk to North Fort which looks out to Portland.
Sandsfoot Castle and beach is a nice place to visit in the summer.

My partner & I have always loved weymouth.we did get rain & wind but we expected it being in February but ,lovely beach even @ night listening to the waves & in the spring & summer it's even better as can enjoy the beach / shops & views ect much more x.the only thing I did worry about though was lots of police presence on the road where we stayed, just a few doors up & cordoned off with police tape & 2 police vans & cars parked outside & never left for the 24 hours we were there .nice places to eat ,we found are the old rooms in pub/ restaurant & the marlboro chip shop/ restaurant which is green outside & has a little bridge over the water near to it where the boats are .

Great beach award winning ice cream on front.and shops close together better than Bournemouth we went to Weymouth for a family party we had it in chili's for 30 people it was awful it took two hours to get served ,then food cold and staff said delay was because didn't have enough plates
So many good places to eat but not chili's near station
The Dolphin Hotel Public House was a wonderful find! A few lovely rooms above a nice pub just steps from Weymouth train station, the centre of the town, and seafront. Wow to all three things you need! From the moment we arrived Linda and Alan were welcoming, friendly, kind, and helpful. The rooms were fresh and very clean (every morning too!). And the wifi was exceptional! We loved this place, and when we come back to Weymouth again, the Dolphin will be our first choice!
Wow, what a view! Literally could not be any closer to the water. It was like nowhere else we've stayed, and has very convenient access to all the shops and pubs Weymouth has to offer. Melaney was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Our room even came with a set of binoculars to look out into the Channel. The breakfast room was open at all times for snacks, and she has games, books, and even a supplies for crab digging. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at Seaham. The room was clean and tidy in a great location perfect for a short stay. Nick and Caroline were very helpful particularly with parking ‘Nick helped us find spaces which was all very helpful. The breakfast was very nice just what you’d need. Overall we had a very nice 3 night stay here and would recommend Seaham as a place to stay in Weymouth.
Lovely traditional hotel in a great location - clean and comfortable, and dog friendly. A short walk down to the seafront.
Friendly staff - greeted with a smile and hello.
Brilliant advice on how to access the coastal path and where to park for free. We had a fantastic walk to Lulworth cove.
Absolutely fantastic breakfast, with lots of choices.
Martin is so friendly and accommodating, he wants his guests to feel at home. He cooked an amazing breakfast and worked around some change in schedules we had, I can't speak highly enough of him. The location is so peaceful and when the street lamps are off you get the most amazing views of the night sky. Easy walk down to Weymouth sea front.
Gregg and Glen are outstanding hosts. The welcome we received was so lovely and they made our entire stay a delight. The location of the property was fantastic, so close to the beach and loads of pubs and restaurants in the area. The room was stunning and spotless. We will book with them straight away next time we're in Weymouth.
The hotel was recently remodeled with close attention to upgraded carpets/pads (quiet) and a comfortable bed. The room was equipped with an efficient portable cooling unit, and the color scheme provided a touch of class. Location was great. Management/owners made themselves readily available to any need you may have.
Location amazing, just ran out of the sea and across the road into hot shower. Brilliant. Staff fabulous and very helpful. Some rooms a little tired. But hotel is refurbishing. Better breakfast elsewhere in town. Limited parking for disabled outside. Weymouth is so historic. Would recommend a visit.
Close to train station, beach and town. John the owner was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was absolutely spotless. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and B&B's in Weymouth and this little gem is one we will definitely return to.
Thank you John and Chris for your hospitality.
The location is good but that’s about it. A former grand seafront hotel allowed to deteriorate. Sadly my room was a rear facing in dire need of renovation. The shower pressure was non existent, the walls were dirty and the furniture was from the 1970’s.
An incredible location and Sarah was a fantastic host. The hotel was spotless and quiet. A pleasurable stay. Our room had probably the best view of the beach in Weymouth and the hotel is located within a short walk to the best restaurants.
First time staying at this hotel, couldn't fault anything,we took our 4 month old puppy, very dog friendly, she enjoyed it as much as us.very clean ,our room was nicely done, staff very friendly, and right on seafront, definitely go back.
The apartment was compact but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, it was clean & private with parking & is only a few minutes walk in to weymouth. Antoine & Kristy are very accomodating & there if you need any assistance
The hotel is in an excellent location with parking which is a huge bonus for a seafront hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Great restaurant on site with entertainment so family friendly too.
Vicky was amazingly friendly, helpful and fun. Hotel was very clean and perfect location. Great sea views.
The cost was really good value and for that I wasn’t expecting it to be so good as it was.
Perfect place to stay for a couple. Our second time here and ideal for our needs, immaculate and comfortable and so well placed for the seafront, town centre and with parking.
