Friendly welcoming staff Cosy hotel with stunningly beautiful surroundings

Everything. The rooms were clean and warm, our room, in the lodge had an amazing view. The grounds are well kept with a lovely nature walk, plus a circular, which Lou, the reception lady printed out for us. The lounge had a fantastic fireplace and was extremely comfortable. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings, the food was delicious, as was the breakfast. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, I have to give a special thank you to Dave, he was attentive and provided excellent service. We drove to Clitheroe on recommendation from the breakfast waitress, which was lovely. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing break, in lovely surroundings with excellent service. Thank you to all the staff for a throughly enjoyable weekend.

Everything about this stay was exceptional. A beautiful location with terrific walks down to the Ribble, great bar and out door area, and dinner was superb. First time staying the room was so huge and comfortable it felt like an apartment rather than a hotel room ... staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner on the onsite restaurant and the food was some of the best ive ever had... definitely think a return will be in order.

Stirk House Hotel overlooks the historic Ribble Valley in the heart of rural Lancashire. It offers an award-winning restaurant.

It is a 16th-century manor house surrounded by picturesque views of Pendle Hill, the Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales. The building still retains a magnificent stone-arched fireplace, original ceilings and a priest hole.

The hotel’s restaurant has won an AA Rosette, and has views of the conservatory area and beautiful hotel grounds. It serves home-cooked food made from local ingredients, and offers an extensive wine list and a range of real ales.

All of the bedrooms have work areas, TVs and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Golf, fishing and hot air ballooning are all available in the Ribble Valley. The 12th-century Clitheroe Castle is 15 minutes’ drive from the hotel, and the Yorkshire Dales can be reached in 20 minutes by car.

  • Do you have family rooms? We are attending a wedding here in 2021 but you don’t seem to have family rooms available?

    Hi, We do have 2 family rooms here at the Stirk House. We also have rooms that have a double bed and can have a sofa bed or a Z_bed for a child.
