Cosy and inviting, Stone's Throw is a dog friendly guest house offering you a great base from which to experience the wonders of Weymouth and the surrounding area. Our rooms offer you a space to relax and feel at home, after exploring the wonderful town of Weymouth and surrounding area. We wanted to make our rooms as comfortable and inviting as possible, so we’ve added the little touches to make you feel at home. From the homemade treats and fresh milk on the tea tray, the cosy blanket, Rituals toiletries or the DAB radio. Everything is designed to make you feel right at home when you stay at Stone’s Throw Guest House. All of our rooms are provided with an en-suite shower or bath, free high-speed wifi and of course a wonderfully comfortable bed!

A little about us, our names are Nikki & Pete and we took over the property in late July 2018. This has always been a dream of ours, but believed we would be doing it much later in life, until we thought “what’s stopping us?” From that point on, we travelled the South Coast searching for our ideal location, not only for us, but our dogs, Ludo and Bella. Weymouth was the first town we visited, and we loved it. Not only did it have the quintessential seaside town feel but also great restaurants, bars and places to take the dogs. And that’s where our story with Weymouth began. We have decided to make the Guest House dog friendly, so you may see some furry friends from time to time.

Whether you're coming to Weymouth for a break on the beach, a walk around the Jurassic coast or using it as a base to explore Dorset's attractions, there will always be something to do, whatever time of year. Weymouth has some beautiful gardens to discover and there are always great spots for a good cup of tea and cake within the gardens. Try Nothe, Greenhill, Bennetts water and Abbotsbury subtropical gardens. A trip up the Jurassic skyline offers beautiful 360 degrees views of the Jurassic coast. Nothe Fort is a great heritage attraction or a walk up to Bowleaze Cove which has stunning views over Weymouth Bay. You could take a coastal cruise around Weymouth bay and the Isle of Portland, a fishing trip out to sea, or just a wander around the old cobbled side streets and old harbour of Weymouth.
