Yours is a spacious room on the first floor; quiet at the front of the house because the street is a cul-de-sac. The king sized bed can be altered into two small singles instead. Some fabrics and handicraft materials are discretely but attractively stored at the end of the room. Otherwise there's plenty of space for your own stuff in an old French cupboard and in other shelves/cupboards. There's a kettle for tea/coffee making with a full range of tea, coffee including decaffeinated tea/coffee and herbal teas.I've tried to make the room practical but also beautiful, influenced by styles and objects acquired during many years living in France. You have your own private bathroom and nobody shares the 1st floor with you. There's a large TV for Freeview viewing, a little table & chair for your laptop or for writing, & a comfy, cushioned wicker chair & a coffee table. You'll enjoy breakfast in the dining room with a view into the garden. The dining room's decor is influenced by my time in China & the open plan living room by my time in Africa! Always something interesting to look at here. Welcome! I'll enjoy sharing it with you.
I'm a mature woman from a psychological, creative background (occupational therapy, psychotherapy, GP counselling, drama therapy & life coaching) which has, I guess, helped me to be interested, easy, adaptable & confident meeting new people. I love it. I'm mad on creativity, evidenced by things all around my home. I love DIY & gardening and with my garden design son's help have created an interesting curvy brick path interspersed with masses of lavender. My secret garden with my Chalet at the end. I'm keen on hiking, especially long distances such as pilgrimages. I walked alone for three months along Chemin St Jacques through France to Santiago de Compostelle some years ago, and more recently through Portugal to the same destination. Perhaps the Coast to Coast will be next - when I've had my heart fixed?
Cleethorpes is a fun, diverse place. Set by the Humber Estuary with the tide bringing the sea in & then disappearing with it to leave vast rippling empty golden beaches. Papas fish & chips and seafood restaurant on the pier is just one of many eating places - some basic but some quite sophisticated with good food. There's good varied nightlife of one sort & another too. Seaview Street sports a range of interesting boutique shops & round the corner on Cambridge Street is the Emporium showcasing the creations of local artists. Away from town, paths for walkers & cyclists open out alongside sand dunes & salt marshes and deserted golden beaches come into view. A higher parallel route takes you to The Smallest Pub On The Planet & after a lager you can take the little steam train back to Cleethorpes or walk through the park, past the boating lake, and take coffee/cake or wonderful food at the Taphouse & enjoy the work of local creators in the little craft shop upstairs.
