A lovely old market town with various boutique shops and a good selection of eateries.
Recommend Bettys Tea rooms and to have some Cheeky Rascals a bit overpriced but as a one off a good experience.
Lots of places to walk and visit, we walked to the Cow & Calf rock formation.
lots of places to visit as well close by like Halifax and Shipley.

Lovely little town at the northern extremes of West Yorkshire. A quality destination with plenty of history if you have time to explore. If not then there’s a plethora of great restaurants and bars to keep you occupied and well fed.

Ilkley is a perfect centre for touring the Dales, particularly Wharfedale. It is within easy reach of Skipton, Bolton Abbey, Appletreewick, Brimham Rocks, Harrogate, Otley and Keighley. Regular trains run to Leeds and Bradford. Easy reach of Leeds/Bradford Airport. Ilkley itself is a charming country town, situated at the foot of Ilkley Moor and the Cow and Calf Rocks. Good shopping, cinema, playhouse, and eateries (including a Bettys Tea Room!).

Lovely place nice shops pubs and eating places and plenty of places locally to visit well worth a visit. The Gi. Lounge was good and had a singer on if you fancy a night out. Betty’s tea shop was also lovely and made a great birthday treat.

Ilkley is a wonderful idyllic place..
Ilkley is a wonderful idyllic place..I am not a hiking person but even I enjoyed a long walk around the cow and calf rock formation and seeing the view. The town centre was lovely,.the shops were a bit expensive. There were a few market type stalls and i bought a beautiful moon stone necklace, soaps from the soap shop and some t shirts for my husband. The only thing we missed was seeing the other rock formations
The staff/management were all extremely helpful and friendly. We had a lovely big room on the first floor. The hotel is in an excellent location for the town centre. Parking at the hotel is very limited but there was reasonably priced meter parking very nearby - free from 6.00p.m. to 8.00a.m. The hotel suited all our needs for our one night stay in Ilkley and will be happy to return in the future.
I was born and brought up in Ilkley and visit my family in a regular basis and was u sure about the Cow and Hotel as in the past it lost it reputation but what a lovely hotel. The room was immaculate and spotless. The hotel look lovely inside and I have booked again for my visit in August and when I’m there I will be sure to check out the food which sadly I didn’t in July
This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in. It was immaculate with very tasteful decoration and furniture. The owner went above and beyond to make it welcoming with fresh flowers, provisions including milk and cake, even chocolates. It was amazing and we will definitely return instead of staying in Ilkley at a very nice hotel. We loved it.
This is a beautiful old building right in the centre of Ilkley. The bedroom was clean, lovely comfortable bed and pillows like clouds. Our room was small, great for an overnight stay but it had a lovely bathroom with a great spacious shower. Breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic, good food and friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.
The cottage is in an absolutely beautiful location. It is lovely, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed including a small kitchen and a washer and dryer. The host was available and helpful if we needed anything. You can walk from the doorstep directly onto Ilkley Moor. The entire experience was outstanding.
The staff were lovely and helpful. We felt really well taken care of. The room was spacious and the main bed was very comfortable. The setting of the hotel was beautiful and picturesque. We would definitely stay again if in the area. Breakfast was fairly standard but we enjoyed it, particularly the hash browns.
There was ample parking. The hotel had a bar and restaurant which was outstanding. Our room was so comfortable and cosy. The bar closed at 11pm so there was no noise. The breakfast was wonderful and varied. It was about a 20 min walk into ilkley but a taxi only cost us £5 on the way back.
Excellent room, great bar/lounge and fantastic staff. Both room and bar had bags of period character. Nothing was too much trouble, with the bar having a great selection of gins and rums. Would definitely recommend for a night stay in the Ilkley area. We will hopefully be back.
Initial greeting - very welcoming and everything explained to us. Really comfortable room with the cleanest bathroom I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Good breakfast and key return. The host was friendly throughout. Will definitely stay again.
Lovely feel to the house. It was easy to find, great location, clean, comfortable, warm, and well equipped.
The bath was fabulous for a deep relaxing soak.
We will definitely be returning to this property if we visit Ilkley again.
Large quiet comfortable room and excellent breakfast. The location was good in an elevated position and close to the Cow & Calf and Ilkley Moor. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very big room and an amazing on suite. Have already recomended to my sister.
Had a fantastic beer garden too.
The location of the hotel was fab too right in the middle of ilkley.⁷
The best thing about Dalesway Hotel was Clark, the Receptionist & Bar Manager. He was so friendly & helpful and VERY interesting to chat to.
Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Great location, quiet area but within a short walk to the town centre. Good selection of beers and tasty food. Plenty of storage in room and nicely decorated
