Located in the coastal town of Lowestoft, Sunrise Cottage is a 4-minute drive from the seafront and less than a mile from Lowestoft Train Station. With a private garden, the property is also just a 6-minute drive from Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park.

  • How can I get to the closest beach from the property?

    Turn right at the front door, proceed down the second street on the left. If you are in a car, turn right and take the third turning on the left (The Ravine, before the lighthouse). The nearest beach is at the bottom of the Ravine. To get to the best beach, cross the bridge in the town centre, take the first turning on the left. This road runs parallel to the promenade and the South Beach. The best part of the South Beach is after the second pier.

  • Is there a shuttle available to get to the closest beach nearby? What are the other transportation options?

    There is no shuttle. The north beach is accessible on foot (10 minutes) or by car from Sunrise Cottage. It is located due east of the cottage. The best beach can also be reached on foot (25 minutes) or by car. It is located south of the bascule bridge in the town centre.

    Parking is available on the street. You should normally be able to find parking spaces within 30 yards of Sunrise Cottage. There are no parking charges on the roads in this locality.

  • Hi, If we made a weeks booking and we could not go due to another lockdown or under tier rules would we be fully refunded under the circumstances? Thanks. Kim.

    Provided that the booking agent accepts a cancellation without charge. I would give you a full refund. If any commission to be paid to the agent were to be inevitable, that commission would be charged to you. Otherwise prepayments would be refunded.

  • We are on public transport. How far is it to the railway station, the nearest shops for groceries and newspaper, and a bus stop Many thanks, Lindsey

    The distance from Sunrise Cottage to Lowestoft railway station is 1.0 miles. There are convenience shops in the same street, one about 50 metres away (with newspapers). Morrisons: 1.4 miles - Tesco: 2.0 miles - nearest bus stop 0.5 miles.

The following amenities are less than 100 yards away from Sunrise Cottage: a cafe, a newsagent, a convenient store, a Chinese restaurant, a fish and chip shop, a pub and an off-licence. So you never need to go far to do any last-minute shopping or fetch a takeaway meal. Sunrise Cottage has a nautical theme throughout. Its cosiness, good furniture and cleanliness will impress you as soon as you enter the front door.

I am a health carer for disabled children. My favourite hobby is kayaking on the Broads.

Lowestoft is the most easterly town in the UK. We have wonderful fine sand beaches and one of the driest climates in the country. The Norfolk Broads start in Oulton Broad, just a couple of miles from Lowestoft town centre. Southwold is just under 14 miles from Lowestoft. If you want to turn back the clock to the England of your childhood, you must pay a visit to Southwold.
