Beautifully crafted tree lodge! We stayed in swallows rest to be exact! Had such a lovely time! With 4 adults 3 children and one big dog it was quite cosy! The log burner crackling away over a brew and some games was so needed! The beds were comfy! We was the bottem bed which has a very low ceiling mind not ideal if your not good with small space! Was fine for us! Small space next to the bed were we could just fit a travel cot as we took our 4 month old! The shower was great! Warm and clean! The decking out front was so lovely to watch the sun rise which was directly opposite us! Overall! Such a lovely experience!

United KingdomThe team at Swinton Bivouac went out of their way to help make sure a weekend with a large group went smoothly. We rented the tipi on one evening, and they prepared us a picnic by the campfire on one day as well which was great. We stayed in the tree lodges which were perfect- we had one with a hot tub- and while I was a bit worried about the lack of electricity at first, during summer it didn’t matter at all and we had plenty of candles and lights. The beds were so comfy which was a pleasant surprise, it’s a bit unexpected in a lodge like that but it’s obvious they really do care about the details! The food at the cafe was great, especially breakfast which was delicious. Really would recommend to anyone, it’s a great place to stay with a group or families- 10/10. Can’t wait to come back again!
United KingdomAll clean and tidy. Little details thought of, especially for children.
United KingdomBeing in the midst of the beautiful yorkshire countryside.
United KingdomThis place is fab and the lodge was idilic. I booked this for my partner for his birthday and it was wonderful. Everything has be thought of and the lodge was fully equip with logs for the fire and everything we needed. We even had a mini surprise parcel that was delivered with some evening smores which really made us feel welcome. We took the opportunity to have the breakfast box each morning which i really recommend and my partner even went as far to say that they were THE BEST sausages he had ever eaten! The surroundings made a perfect quiet getaway and the estate was perfect for us. We were able to obtain some maps from the cafe and did some smaller walks and a 16 mile run around the estate. This is a perfect place for those who want to get away from it all and just leave the car for a few days without feeling too trapped.
United KingdomWasn’t what we expected as I’d never stopped in a yurt but was fantastic
