“Historic public house with friendly staff and customers who made me feel welcome. The single room was small but the fittings were new and the decor excellent. The view from the small window was over a car park but in no way detracted from my enjoyment of this excellent little hotel. I will definitely visit again when I am in the area. “The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and huge portions, so be very hungry and the breakfast was very good. We did not find the pub noisy at night from our room, but this may be different in the summer. Excellent position for the nec only about 20mins away by car. Parking outside the pub is easy and free or they have a car park around the back. We will definitely be back. ”
