Lovely breakfast service, the lady was very friendly and gave us a great tip about nearby Beaumaris castle. The gentleman that runs the place was also very friendly and helpful, with a great sense of humor. We felt very welcome and were sad to go, really great value for money given the central location and level of service. Plenty to do in Caernarfon, very nice Indian restaurant with great value for money, plenty of cafes to choose from too! Obviously the castle is well worth a visit, make sure you leave enough time to explore it fully as it is very extensive.

눉There was no wi-fi. Wi-fi was available to our room and they had the password but to sign on our devices (iPad, iPhone) needed a username. The staff did not know what the username was and did not understand how it worked. Therefore we could not sign on. Advertised as having Wi-fi, but if guests can't sign on you are not providing Wi-fi. Very little parking in the street and you will not get a park there. They advise there is free parking at the marina but this is also always full. I sat down at the marina for 45minutes before I finally got a park.

눉The rooms have shared bathrooms, which was NOT advertised on the website. Furthermore, the condition of both the rooms and the shower rooms was nigh on disgusting: flies roamed the whole hotel, cobwebs hung from every spare corner, and the bedding and upholstery were stained - perhaps because of age more than dirt. Upon waking up after our less-than-comfortable sleep, the entire hotel reeked of fried food, obviously from the cooked breakfasts on offer. While these were satisfactory, the dining room was in keeping with the rest of the hotel: dirty, stuffy, poorly ventilated. Put very mildly, the place has obviously become a victim of the owners' neglect, and is in dire need of not even a refurbishment, but to start with a jolly good spring clean!

눉Very basic accommodation but generally clean and tidy. We had two rooms, one single and one double. The single was small with no wardrobe to hang clothes No rooms are ensuite with separate toilet and a shared shower (2) and toilet room (2). It served our purpose for my mate and I to go walking in Snowdonia. Would I take my wife there for a break, I'm sorry but I wouldn't.

눉Parking very limited and not possible outside the property. Think the property was only superficially cleaned found some areas thick with dust and on leaving found an empty milk carton under one of the beds from a previous visitor (not us). One of the bedrooms next to the bathroom and near the stairs I would not put children in as no banisters near the top, so a child could easily wander out of the room and fall down the stairs. Accommodation very tired looking and situated on a busy street - but if you like listening to pub noise on a weekend then not a problem.
눇Location wise very central in Caernarfon and near for Snowdon walking. Quite spacious apartment.

눉There wasn't any available parking outside the guesthouse on the first day we stayed, however we parked for free in a nearby carpark overnight. Unfortunately the guests staying above us on the second night arrived late and were very inconsiderate with noise levels, clearly neither of these are Tegfans fault however!

눉Confusion over booking on arrival which was off-putting. I understood from the website that there was dedicated parking, not a "free for all " outside the property. Location was however a real plus point.
