Cottage had all the amenities we could wish for, more than enough space for four grownups!! Breakfast was great too. All the staff were lovely, keep up the good work. Very safety conscience re Covid too!

The room was very clean, the owners had made lots of provisions to cope with the current situation, this included taking orders for breakfast and delivering them to the room. We were provided with our own plastic box which contained cups, glasses, tea and coffee etc. Once finished we placed everything in it. Very thoughtful.

The Abbey Hotel & Own Access Apartments is consisted of of a Tudor house built around 1530 and a medieval merchant’s house built around 1350. Free on-site parking is available and Bury St Edmunds town center is just over a mile away.

Hi, We need 2 rooms (each for 2 people) on 15th August, however would you be able to ensure that the windows are left open in the rooms prior to our arrival and allocate us rooms that aren't in use the night before?

I am looking for a self-catered apartment for the week of 17th - 21st May. The only reservations available are for a double room or a junior suite. Do either of these have catering facilities? Thank you.

Thank you for your question. The Junior Suite has some catering facilities. It has a fridge/freezer, a combi microwave, a kettle and a toaster as well as some cutlery and crockery. The Double rooms only have tea and coffee facilities. All the best

Are there fridges in the rooms please?

Thank you for your request. There is a fridge in rooms 2,3,10,11 and 12. For the rooms without their own fridge there are accessible fridges in our guest use kitchen diner. Regards, Claire

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry we do not have an wheelchair access rooms at the Abbey Hotel. Our only ground floor room, the St Edmunds' Suite, has two steps up to the room, and normal doors throughout the suite.
